Hai CX

This is an author's note to explain why I haven't been publishing anything lately. Expect more in the near future. School just started and I've been really busy. I wrote more of the book, but Im just scared to publish it because I'm afraid I'm gonna make my story horrible but oh well, here we go cx Enjoy!

My parents didn't even know how to respond to the whole fight. I like to think they were proud of me, for sticking up for myself, and actually talking to somebody. I was still grounded for two days from t.v but I can survive. I ended up in the hospital with stitches over my left eyebrow, and a black eye the size of a small turtle. I also fractured my arm, but I only need to wear a sling for one or two days. I was suspended, for starting the fight, and screaming foul language.

The whole time I was in the hospital, the only thing I could think I could think of, was of course, Daisy. Why? I have no clue. I had no idea of anything going on. It's like I'm standing still, and the world is moving fast around me.

"Oliver" my mom yelled up the stairs. "Ned's here"

I ran so fast down the carpeted steps I missed a few and tripped a couple of times.
"You're lucky I can take a few hits," Ned smiled, and I tried to hug him, like that bro hug thing people do to eachother, but instead we ended up tangling our hands in this weird intricate mess and decided thay hugging really wasn't our thing.

We ran up the carpetted steps to my room, and flopped back into the blue and black bean bags in my dark bedroom. My room is always dark, unless I'm reading, then i'll turn on the lamp on my bedside table. I always found comfort in the dark. I felt safe not being able to see anything around me. My room wasn't pitch black, but I still liked the dark mood of it all. Mysterious.

Ned reached for a game controller, and recoiled his arm beside him after I told him I was grounded. We layed back looking at the glow in the dark moon and star stickers on the celing. He grabbed a foam basketball and threw it at the celing and caught it again. He kept playing catch with himself, and my eyes followed the ball bouncing up and down.

"I think you love her." Ned abruptly broke the silence. I stopped following the ball and looked at Ned.

"What?" I say. He stops throwing the balll and looks at me.

"I think you love Daisy." He's serious as a heart attack. "When two people fall in love, you can tell. You can see it by the way you stood up for her."

"I stood up for you." I say, trying to top his logic.

"You love me, not in a gay way, but a brotherly way."

I stare at the celing. He was right. Maybe I did love Daisy.
