I couldn't get her voice out of my head. The terrified shaking voice of Daisy. Sure, her face was jacked up, but I barely even noticed.  I wonder why she even let me listen to her. Was it because she had nobody else?

I was excited for lunch. Was Daisy going to sit next to me? I would'nt say I was excited, more like anxious. I hope Daisy isn't shocked to find her spot at her table replaced. I hated her table. It was full of athletes and plastic barbie dolls that haven't worked a day in their life. I wonder why the barbies and athletes fix so well. What would devoted football players would talk to people who get waivered out of p.e every year.

I walk into the cafeteria and scan for Daisy. Will she even come to lunch? Part of me wanted her to, and another part hoped she went out to eat. I see Ned reading a new comic book and sipping on his chocolate milk. I sit down at our table and let him rant to me about Captain America for a few minutes.

Then, I hear the laughter. The shrilling laughter, that pierces through me. The laughter that makes me clench my jaw. The same laughter that caught my attention when Ned was face down on the floor. I already knew that Daisy was probably victimized behind me, and I was terrified to turn around.

I see Daisy, balancing on her crutches, her packed lunch in her hand as well. On the verge of crying, shaking. Left without a defense, just catching every insult thrown at her. I began to walk over, Ned following close behind me. I soon was standing next to Daisy's statue. I began to lead her over to our table, when I hear Jacob yell, "Dog Face!" behind me.

I lost it. I handed Daisy to Ned and walked over to Jacob.

"Please, don't say that." I asked pollitely.

"Speak louder?"

"I said, Don't say that."

"Ohhh. My apologies Mr. Tough and qui-"

I cut him off as I punched the side of his 'perfect' face. He fell to the floor, and I stood, shaking looking down at my hands. I knew he was going to fight back, all of the sudden, he tackled me, sending me on the floor. Suddenly the world I knew was a blur of people running around, trying to pull us apart from eachother.

I clawed at his eye, and he punched my mouth, suddenly, Ned kicked him off of me, and he was rewarded with a slap sending his glasses flying. Suddenly, the next thing I saw, was the expensive Nike sneakers on Jacob's feet, Then everything was black.
