Juvia POV
"Alright everyone please quiet down, I need you all to read for just 15 minutes then class is dismissed." I told my class. I am a teacher for fifth graders. It wasn't my first choice of grade to choose, but I love my class this year, and my job overall. I sat there at my desk looking at e-mails and things on amazon to decorate my classroom. 15 minutes past and my students got ready to go home. "Have good rest of your day. Remember to do your homework, and remember that the book report is due this Friday." I said. They all said goodbye and left the classroom. I then got a text from my father saying I need to meet him at his work. "What is this, geese, I have work to do." I said to myself. I quickly texted back that I will be there in a half an hour. I got my purse, keys, and water bottle. I then walked to my car, got in and drove away. I got another text from my dad saying he has a surprise for me when I get there. I am confused but kept driving. As I am driving I put my playlist on and listen to the music. When I got there I sat in the parking spot for a minute or two. Every time I come here I feel a little bit uncomfortable. "Ok, just go in there. You have been in there a hundred times." I said to myself. I got out of the car and walked inside the large building. I told the front desk lady I am seeing my dad. She nodded and I went my merry way. I went inside the elevator, pressed the button that had the number 10 on it. I sighed and stood in the elevator alone. The door opened and I walked out and then started to walk to my father's office. There it was. The door that read MR. LOCKSER'S OFFICE, in big letters. The door that I have dreaded for years. All of our biggest fights were in this room. When we found out my mom died we were in this room. I hate everything about this room. But then, I walked in. My dad looked at me entering the room. He sat there, in his chair. He is looking at me smiling. "There you are." He said getting out of his seat. There is a man sitting in a chair in front of my fathers desk. He has raven black hair. The hair looks so familiar-no. No, no ,no, it can't be him. There is know way. Then the man stood up out of the chair, and it's him. The man I haven't spoken or seen in almost five or six years. "Juvia, you remember Gray don't you?" He said. Gray was just standing there, awkwardly. "Yes-yes I do. W-why am I here exactly?" I asked. "You will find out once Gray's father gets here." He said. I was stunned. What is this all about? Why am I here? Why is Gray here? Why is Gray's father coming? My mind is a blur. "Juvia please sit down, it's impolite to just stand there." He said. I stood there for a second more. I walk slowly to the chair next to Gray. I am quiet and so is he. Then the door opens again. It is Gray's dad. Silver Fullbuster. The one and only. He was such a role model to me when I was 12. "Ah, Mr. Fullbuster, you are here at last." my father said. "Mr. Lockster it is an honor. My, my, is that you Juvia?" He asked. "Yes, um hello Mr, Fullbuster." I said. I stood up and shook his hand. "Hello Father." Gray said. His voice. It's deeper than it was in high school. I felt my heart racing. "Please Mr. Fullbuster, sit down." My father said. "Now, Gray, Juvia you are probably wondering why you all are here." My father said. "Mr. Fullbuster the paperwork. Now before you two scream and storm out, please just stay seated. Mr Fullbuster and I have come to conclusion that you too will be married in the next three and a half months." He said. my throat dropped to my stomach. I didn't have the words to express my feelings right now. "What? Dad you cannot make me do this, I am 24 years old, not 17 or 18. I an adult." I said and stood out of my chair. Gray stood up too. He looked as shocked as I am. "Father you are not serious, I am an also n adult." Gray said. "Really, well when you Gray signed your contract to work for your fathers company you were really signing a contract for our company. You father and I have put our companies together. You didn't read the contract all the way through I guess. The contract said that there will be an arranged marriage of our choice." My father said. "I understand for Gray, but what is it to me. I Didn't sign any contract with you or Mr. Fullbuster." I said. "That is where you are wrong Juvia. When you signed the job application for the school you work for, it was an application I made for the school specifically for you. Mr. Fullbuster were already talking about joining forces." My father said. Gray and I are both stunned. "This is crazy." I said. "Well there is no getting out of this. You can just go through with it or get fired from your jobs." My Father said. Wat he said made me want to punch him. "Fine, I will do it." Gray said. Those words shocked me. "what did you say?" I said. "I said ok, I can't get fired from my job. I doubt you wan to get fired too ." He said. Those words stuck in my brain. I can't lose my job. I love my job. I love the class I teach. I need the money. So. "When you put it that way, fine. I will go through with this, but it doesn't mean I am happy with this." I said. "Gray, Silver, will you give Juvia and I a moment please?" They said yes and left the room. I sat there looking at the floor. "Juvia look at me." he said. I looked at him with angry eyes. "Please don't be angry with me. The reason I asked them out is because I wanted to give you this. Your mother would have wanted you to have it. " It is my mother's wedding ring. I always wanted it. It a very simple vintage silver band with one raw ocean diamond in the center. My mother promised me that I would have it some day. My eyes started to tear up. I took the ring and pit it on my ring finger. It's a perfect fit. A tear escaped my eye. "Please don't cry" He said. "I am crying because I love this ring." I do love this ring. When I put it on I feel like my mom is with me. We stood there for a second then my dad pulled me in for a hug. He told me everything will be ok. He promised. He sent me out and Mr. Fullbuster in. Gray and I were free to go home. We went in the elevator together. I pressed the number one button. We just stood there not saying a word. He then noticed the ring. "Is that your mother's ring?" he said. "Yes, Yes it is. My father just gave it to me considering the fact that we are now engaged." I laughed a bit. "Yes. Yes we are." We laughed at each other. It feels so good to laugh again. "Juvia, should we exchange numbers? it would be the proper thing to do now that we are in this situation." He asked. I nodded and put in my number on his phone. The elevator doors opened and we both stepped out. "it was nice to see yo again Gray. It has been so nice." I said. "Yes it has. Juvia, maybe we should go out to lunch of dinner just to catch up on things." He said. "O-oh. Ok. I will text you. I am free for lunch tomorrow." I said. we smiled and then went our separate ways. I felt my heart flutter. I think this will all be ok.
