Juvia POV
"So why didn't you tell me about New York?" He asked.
That question burned into my brain, and possibly my soul. "I-um, we weren't talking Gray, remember?" I said. "Of course I remember. But we we still in the same school. You still had my number. I remember you always talking about that school and going to New York." He said. "I know, I just thought since we weren't talking it would have been weird if I told you. I honestly thought you knew because my dad and your dad were still talking." I said. He looked down. "Ah, I see. I-I am sorry I asked." He said. "Gray it's fine. It's good that we are talking about that." I said and smiled. "Ok. Well, how was New York?" He asked. "It was amazing. I lived near the college, in Manhattan. It was small but, cozy. Although I begged my dad to let me pay the rent of coarse he insisted. But being there in Manhattan was magical. It was everything I wanted it to be." I said. "That is very good to hear." He said. We smiled at each other. "Oh and in college that is where I met my friend Lucy, Natsu went to the same college with me so that fun. Gajeel was there too. And since I was still in my punk and rocker chick faze, the four of us decided to make a band. It was a lot of fun. We actually made money and did lots of gigs." I said. "Hold up, you were in a literal band? What kind of music did you play?" He asked. "Yes I was and we played like classic rock and some jazz music. Lucy, Gajeel, and I played the electric guitar, while Natsu played the drums. We all sang but I was pretty much the lead singer which was pretty awesome." I said. "Wow, you should do the band again. It sounds really fun and awesome." He said. "Yeah maybe we should." I said. Then the Shirley came to ask for our orders. "So what can I get you guys?" She asked. Gray went first. "I will have a cheeseburger no onions, side of fries and a beer please." She wrote down what he said then she looked at me. "I will have the Fettuccine Alfredo, with a side of bread and butter, lemonade and a glass of Rosé please." I said. "Coming right up." She said and walked to the kitchen. "A glass of Rosé? How classy." Gray said and laughed. "Uh excuse me, I deserve a glass, those kids drive me crazy sometimes." I said. "Fair enough." As he said that Shirley brought us our drinks. I took a sip of my Rosé and Gray takes a sip of his beer. "So how is teaching 10 and 11 year olds?" He asked. "Well I mean it is challenging but I love my job. And I love the kids so I guess it is worth it. even though I have to stand all day, and my back hurts a lot. And some kids can be brats, but besides that, it's fun and I love it. How is your job?" I asked. "It is good, but very tiring. Not really the 'dream job' i had in mind, but it pays well." He said. "That's good, I am glad you're enjoying it, kind of haha." I said. He smiled and I smiled too. I like these moments. But then My father called. "Hold on, Hello? Oh hi dad. Yes I am good. Yes I am with Gray, No we haven't talked about that. Because we want to have a low-key kind of day. Ok, then. Bye, Love you too. ok. Well that was my dad." I said. "Yeah kind of figured. What did he want us to talk about?" He asked. "Can you take a guess?" I said. "Ohh, The wedding, Jeez he does not give up does he?" He said. "Well that's my father for you." I said and he nodded. Just then our food came. Thank goodness.Time skip(I know you probably don't want to read how there food was and the rest of the dinner went :p)-Author
Still juvia POV
After we had dinner Gray paid. Even though I insisted on splitting. We said good bye to Shirley and her husband. "Hey you guys better invite me to your wedding" She said. I just said Ok even though I was kind of dying inside. Gray and I went back to the car and drove off. "That was good wasn't it? It's just like I remembered" I said and closed my eyes of satisfaction. "Yeah it was" Gray said. Gray drove to my apartment complex. When we got in front I asked him "would you like to come in? We could have tea or coffee and watch a movie, it's only 9:00." He looked at me and said yes. 'Hopefully my place is clean enough' I thought to myself. When we got to my door I got my key and opened it. We both got in and I put my keys on the small plate on a table next to the door. My apartment smells like lavender thanks to my obsession over everything lavender scented. "Welcome to my apartment, make yourself at home. Just as a warning, I have some very annoying and loud neighbors above me. So sorry about that." I said as I put my stuff down and take my shoes off. Gray does the same. He sat on the couch and started to twiddle his thumbs. I roll my eyes and go into the kitchen and get our drinks ready.Gray POV
when I walked into Juvia's apartment I didn't expect it to look this way. I was kind of small but comfortable. Right as you walk in you see a medium sized couch with pillows in it. Across from the couch is the tv on a tall dresser. There is a blue and black rug on the floor. The living room connects to a very vintage styled kitchen. Around the living room are lots of pictures of friends and family. There is also a small table with a table cloth with lemons on it. Down the hall there are posters of signed bands and more framed pictures. There is also a long rig down the hall. Also down the hall I am guessing is her room and the bathroom. I walk over to the couch and sit down. Juvia walked to the kitchen ams started making our drinks. "You still only like sugar in your coffee?" She asked. "Ha yes." I said. "K cool" She said back. It feels nice being here with Juvia. It feels normal. Juvia brings ours drinks on a tray and puts it down on the coffee table in front of the couch. She hands me a black mug with a quote on it by Jane Austen. She has a pale pink mug that also has a quote on it by Jane Austen.
(If you don't know who Jane Austen is. Then look her up. But to save you the time she is an author of very good books. I recommend her books they are very good especially for bookworms like me) - author"Nice mugs, I see you clearly have a theme for your apartment. #cliche vintage lifestyle." I said and laughed. She playfully slapped my arm. "At least I have class. What does your house or apartment look like? Dull and lifeless I bet." She said with a smirk. "Actually there's a lot of windows so it's not rang dull." I said. We both look at each other and just laugh. We sat there for a good hour just talking and drinking our coffee while a old movie played in the background. The hour felt like a minute. But then
I looked at the time. "Oh shoot. It is already all most 10:30." I said. "What?! Jeez time really does fly. Well I guess you have to go. We both have work in the morning. I would want your dad on your tail about being late too work because you got home too late haha." She said and looked into her empty mug. "Yeah I guess I should go." I said and got up. She got up too ams walked me to the door. "Don't stay up too late ok?" She said "I won't" I said. She opened the door and went out. "Goodnight Juvia." I said. She walked a little closed took me and pecked me quick on the cheek. "Good night Gray." She and closed the door. My hand reaches to my cheek where she kissed it. I could feel my blush. And I was standing there like an idiot.3rd POV
there was only a door that separated them. On one side was a young lady that slid down from the door Onto her floor. Her face was red and she was smiling. On the other side was a young man standing outside the door smiling and blushing like a fool.
