You switched on the karaoke machine, the joyful music slowly started filled the empty dark room. Instinctively, you swayed hips to the rhythm of the song.
Calamari Inkantation, a song by the the one and only Squid Sisters. It was known for being sung at Splatfests Inklings held. It was different for story the Octarians, though. The song could free Octarians from DJ Octavio's brainwashing once they heard it. It saved countless of Octolings, especially you.
You put gripped the microphone in your hands, bringing it closer to your mouth. You began to sing the lyrics.
"Now, we must be strong. Together we will sing this song, and you can sing along!"
You began to sing the opening part of the song, tapping your foot to every beat.
"Callie. Marie. We're one and two and you make three. So sing harmony, and together we shall see where we belong!" You sung a little bit louder into the microphone, and started moving around dancing to the heavenly melody.
You were so caught up in singing that you didn't notice the mysterious figure in the hallway watching you.

Once the song finished up, you went to turn the karaoke machine when you caught the mysterious person in the corner of your eye. You jumped, startled. You rushed to retrieve your Octoshot.
"F-Freeze!" You trembled with the Octoshot in your hands, pointing it at the figure. It took small steps towards you.
"I-I SAID FREEZE!" You basically screamed at the person, it started to step out of the shadows, you squeezed your eyes shut and pressed down on the trigger of your weapon.
Nothing happened.
This couldn't be happening. Why now, at all times? No no, I'm going to die. This thing is going to kill me.
So many thoughts rushed through your head as you heard the footsteps approaching closer. You obviously thought you were gonna die from this thing or person. You felt a hand lift up your chin up.
"My dear, do not fearful. For I will not hurt you, I know you do not mean any harm." The Inkling kneeling down smiled at you.
"H-Huh?" Tilting your head in confusion, the inkling took both of your hands by surprise.
"Your voice is simply like one of the angels, it's beautiful. So...Why don't we sing together?"
