After study hall I had Math. I made my way down the crowed hallway, in the process I was bumped by someone and fell to the ground. "Ow" I said holding my wrist, which someone carelessly decided to step on. "Are you okay?" A boy with shaggy light brown hair asked. I havent seen him around so he must be new. "Yea, im fine" I say picking up my books. "I Koleton by the way" He said flashing a smile, showing off his dimples. He was so freaking cute. "I-I Im Asher" I studder. Why am i studdering?! I never studder. Ever! He let a light laugh. I looked at him confused. "Why are you laughing?" I asked him. "Youre cute when youre in your own little world" He said to me. I could feel my cheeks blush. "Erm, thanks" I said smiling. I looked at the clock we had in the hallway and noticed that we only had five minutes to get to class. "Oh gosh. Im so sorry Koleton but i have to get to class" Is say and start speed walk to class."Wait. Asher whats your number" he asked, i didnt have time to waste so i just wrote it on his hand and literally ran to class.
"Ah. Asher, how nice of you to join us" Mrs. Jones said. I just kept my head down and walked to my seat. As I was taking notes for a test when a note was slipped under my arm. I turned around and seen Tristin smirking. I opened the note that read: What happen between you and Danny?" I looked over at Tristin and back at the note and worte: Ill text you later about it" and passed it back to him. I watched as he read it, he nodded and stuffed the note in his binder.
I turned my attention back to the board, "So the test will be next week on Friday" Mrs. Jones said writting it on the board. Ugh, another test. I just sat there in my own little world. Just thinking. Thinking about Koleton, thinking about Danny, thinking about the football game tonight ill be attending. I wonder if I ignore Danny for a week if he'll notice or not. Ill just have to try it. "Asher" Mrs. Jones called my name. "Hmm what?" I ask confused, not really. "Would you like to tell me the answer to the my problem?" She asked. Oh this is going to be good. "Well you see. Youre thirty years old and still single with most likely a catt or two and youre stuck with brats like me everyday. So i say that the answer to the problem is that you need a life" I finished with a deep sigh. The whole class starts to laugh, "Enough!" Mrs.Jones shouts. They all get quite really fast. "Asher what i was asking is what the answer to the question on the board was" She says through her teeth. I take a look at the board for a second."Oh. 32" I say right as the bell rings, guess i spaced out the whole class. "The bell does not dimiss you. I do!" She said making everyone sit down, except me. "Why arent you sitting Clark?" She asked. "If the bell doesnt dimiss us than what is it for? Exactly i will now be leaving" I told her and walked out of her class.
"Woah, whats got you telling off teachers?" Danny asked me in the hallway. I ignored him and kept walking to Science. "Hey, whats up?" Koleton asked. From the corner of my eye I seen Danny roll his eyes, "Dude she isnt talking" He said. Now this will be fun. "Oh not much, We still hanging out tonight?" I ask Koleton. Danny's jaw drops. "Yea sure" Koleton said. "What? Ash talk to me" He said. Silence."Ash! Asher!" He kept screaming at me. I walked into science like he wasnt even there. I took my seat beside Tristin, "Hey.,.." He said and grabbed my wrist. "Ow" I yelped, Tristin removed his hand faster than ever. "Oh my goodness did i hurt you Ash?" He asked worried. I shake my head and go up to Mrs. Charleston. "Hello Asher, how may i help you?" She asks as she sits her coffee on her desk. "Erm, hi. While I was walking down the hallway earlier I fell and someone stepped on my wrist and it really hurts" I say holding it with my left hand. "Oh dear let me take a look" she says, I hold out my wrist and its swollen. Without hesition she writes me a pass to the nurses office. "Thank you" I say as I walk out the door. I make my way down to the nurse quitely and chanting in my head, 'please dont be broken please' If its broken I wont get to do volleyball.
"Hello Asher what brings you down here?" The nurse asks me. I dont say a word but just hold out my wrist. "Oh dear" she mutters. She starts going through her drawers and pulls out a wrap and wrapps it awroud my wrist. "Im not for sure if its broken but im going to call your mother and have her take you to the E.R" she says finishing wrapping up my wrist. She writes me a note and sends me to get my books as she calls my mom. I text Miles on the way back to class.
Me: Hey moms picking me up Miles: What? Why? Me: My wrist might be broken. Will you get my get my homework for me? Miles: Yea will do Me: Thanks, My locker combo is 13-45-16
I pocket my phone and go into science to get my books. "Im going to the doctor to get it looked at. Can Tristin carry my books please?" I ask. She nodds and without having to ask him Tristin grabs my books and we walk out the door and to my locker. "So while you were gone Danny said you arent talking to him. Whys that?" Tristin asked. I turned my lock to the last digit and stepped away so Tristin can open it and shove my books in my bag. "Im just tired i guess. Of his lies. Of his pathetic excuses. Just him in general" I say as he helps me with my bag. "Thanks" I mutter. He nods. "I understand what youre getting at but you and Dannny have been best friends since like ever and i thinnk everyone would feel awkward if yall slipt" He explained. "Why should i care how everyone else feels?! They arent the one slpitting with their best friend now are they?!" I said and stomped off to the office to wait for my mom.
She arrives 15 minutes later. "What happen?" She asks as i get in the car. "Ill tell you later" She nods and we make our way to the E.R.
