Chapter 4: What's going on?

~Next Day

Nicole and Jenny were in English class doing a project together.

"We need some glue," says Jenny as she puts a large poster paper on the table.

"Okay," says Nicole as she walks to a table with supplies all over it. As she reaches to grab a glue bottle, she feels someone touch her hand. She looks up in shock.

"Sorry," says Erin as he takes his hand off of hers.

"Um. It's f-fine," Nicole stutters nervously. Her cheeks slowly become red and she begins to sweat.

"Are you okay? You look a little sick," asks Erin.

"YES! I feel mighty fine," yells Nicole as she runs over to Jenny. Then, she accidentally knocks over a cup filled with glitter.

"NICOLE! Why were you running!? And where's the glue," Jenny angrily screams.

"There's something wrong with me," she says as her eyes twitches. Soon, her eyes began water up.

"Do you need to go to the nurse? I can take you," says Jenny softly. Suddenly, Nicole places her hand on her stomach and begins to cough. "Nicole! Are you gonna throw up?"

"I-I think," Nicole says.

Jenny and Nicole run out of the classroom and into the restroom.  Nicole dashes to the toilet and begins to breathe hard.

"I'll get you some water," says Jenny as she leaves the restroom.

Nicole doesn't vomit, so she quietly lays next to the toilet. After a few seconds, she hears foot steps.

"Jenny? Is that you," she says barley being able to speak. Her eyes widen when she sees Erin standing in front of her.

"Do you need help," he asks.

Nicole doesn't respond. She just looks at him in shock. Erin sits next to her and looks into the toilet.

"You didn't vomit. That's a good sign," he says.

Nicole slowly sits up and lays on Erin's shoulder. Then, she slowly wipes her tears.

"Erin. Do you really think I'm cute" she asks.

"WHAT," Erin yells.

"At the pool party, you called me cute. Did you really mean it," Nicole asks again.

"Well, yeah. I did," Erin replies.

Nicole cheeks became red again.

"Are you blushing," Erin asks.

"Um," Nicole mutters.

"Nicole. I'm starting to think that you like me," Erin says as he holds Nicole's hand. Nicole nervously shivers. Then, Erin slowly puts his arm around her.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Erin," Nicole says loudly. Erin stays quiet and smiles at Nicole making her feel awkward. Then, Jenny walks in with a water bottle. She stares at Nicole and Erin in shock.

"What's going on," she angrily asks.

"Nothing," Nicole screams as she quickly stands up. Erin stays silent and looks at Jenny.

Jenny tosses the water to Nicole and angrily stomps off. But, then she comes back.

"Erin, you're in the girls' restroom," she says quietly. After that, she walks away again.
