Avenger's Tower. Previously Stark Tower. One of the tallest and most important buildings in New York, only because it houses some of this world's greatest heroes. And yes I do say some because the Black Panther resides in Wakanda, The Defenders in different parts of the city and the one, the only CAPTAIN BRITAIN! Want to hazard a guess where he's from? Yeah, pretty sure the UK felt left out during the second world war...

Despite this brief history lesson into the Avengers Tower, I'm not here for one of their tours for mega fans (Tony's plan to gain more money from his 'investment' to the avengers) or as a trip in school. Yes, this is taught in school now, mainly in modern history but then again Norse mythology has now been taken off of the mythology course and is mandatory in all middle school history classes to stop 'misinterpretations'. Yeah I don't know either okay? But I'm here to withhold the promise I made to Mr Stark yesterday. I just have to not raise any alarms whilst trying to see him.

I walked through the front door and would you guess that they have an automatic turning door. Yeah I'm not impressed either, don't they know how impractical that is? Anyway, I walked in to the lobby and took my time to look around. Although it was still relatively early in the morning, there were many people bustling about the lobby. There were some tours of middle and elementary schoolers and a few foreigners in a tour whilst you had men and women in suits wearing S.H.E.I.L.D badges.

When did S.H.E.I.L.D start working here? I thought. Then again, it is a pretty big tower.

The lobby itself was spacious and very modern, with tables and single seat sofas spread along one side, a bar in the back corner and an awkward space in the middle where nothing was there. It looked slightly out of space. I don't like it, it's annoying me.

It should be a gift shop. I love a little gift shop.

Casually I walked down the middle aisle, as to not draw too much attention to myself, and went to the 'nicest' looking receptionist.

"Hi honey, how can I help you today? Are you lost sweetheart?" she spoke in an annoying patronizing voice, like she was talking to a 5 year old.

Should have chosen someone else to talk to. UGH! How annoying.

"Um, no I'm not lost. Actually I'm hear to talk with Mr Stark." I spoke almost...innocently? If I'm not to make a scene putting up an innocent little girl act will come in handy.

Almost as soon as I mentioned Mr Stark's name, the woman's head shot up from her computer screen.

"I'm sorry did you say Mr Stark?"

Did I stutter? Was she not paying attention? She wasn't very good at her job if she didn't hear me.

"Nah, I said Mr Stank. Yes I said Mr Stark. Now my business with him is quite urgent and I promised that I'd see him today." I spoke being the sarcastic teenager I was.

Looking at me as though I was a crazy person (not denying that accusation though) she nodded her head and stood up from her wheelie chair and came round from the front desk and led me to an elevator that needed a key card to get into it. Looking back at her colleagues, she signaled something, however I caught on and was set on high alert just in case anything were to happen.

As the elevator doors closed, and I realised I was in a confined space with someone who is highly probable to be a S.H.I.E.L.D trained agent, my defence mechanism, which had been forged over years of pain and self preservation, turned from 0 to 100 real quick. I could feel the adrenaline start to leak into my blood stream; ready for if I needed a quick escape and/or fighting this person who I was trapped with for the time being. My senses became fully functional and my wolf started to growl lowly, ready to pounce into action if need be. That was another perk to my wolf. If I needed it, it would be here. Not without consequence, however. I could feel my magic generating, ready for attack (although I was the one in control of the spells using it up). My eyes began to heat. No, not with some superman heat vision shit, my eyes just heated as a way to signal that they were to change colour at any given moment, as long as I didn't control it.

However, as soon as my body was fully ready for 'attack.exe' to run, the elevator bell dinged and signalled our destined arrival. Doors slid open and I was lead out of the metal box.

Around me was a large open space, filled with couches and a large tv. I'm pretty sure it was a better version of the Samsung 'Wall. The screen was about 150 inches wide and had just about every game console you could imagine. The South facing wall was fully glass and the room was filled with much needed vitamin D producing natural light. On the right hand side was a mini-bar with about 6 stools in front of it.

Wow, they must all be alcoholics here.

I was brought out of my wandering in how all the avengers didn't all have liver disease but the woman who guided me up here.

"If you could take a seat and wait for the arrival of Mr Stark, it would be greatly appreciated." she spoke politely.

"Any seat? That's a difficult decision." I spoke whilst peering around the room, just comically enough so that she would understand. And maybe laugh. Which she didn't.

"Yes. Any seat." Her annoyed face said it all and I knew when to stop being an angering teenager, so I kept quiet. "Now if you excuse me, I have work to do. I hope you enjoy your time here." With that she swiftly made her exit.

I went to sit on the couch when I remembered the not so mini-bar on the other side of the room. Me being me, I walked behind the bar and fixed myself a drink of my own design. After, I sat on one of the many bar stools and sipped on my drink. It was extremely strong and would easily make any person drunk after a sip, much to my dismay, I am not just any person.

A.N//: Hey peoples! I am so so so sooo sorry about my lack of updates and inactivity on this book. To be quite frank, I have absolutely no excuse other than me being lazy and not bothering with it. I'm gonna try to update more but I can't guarantee anything coz of me studying and training. I love you all if you have stuck around to this point and I hope that you carry on enjoying this.
