Elsa's POV

Jack and I held hands the whole way upstairs, but then when we reached the foyer, I let go, not wanting my mother to see us showing affection for each other. At the door, a man stood there, and next to him was my mom. Tears were running down her face, fake tears.

"Oh, I'm so glad we finally found Elsa's dad!" She exclaimed. I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Speaking of Elsa, here she is, our beloved daughter. Mom wrapped her arms around me but I pushed away, getting closer to this mystery person at the door.
"Elsa, it's me," he said. I recognized his voice and his looks.
"Dad!" I shouted, wrapping him in a giant bear hug.
"Now Elsa, don't be jumping to conclusions," Mom ordered. I looked at her with an angry glare.
"Aren't you GLAD that I'm leaving? You hated me all along ,and now you suddenly find this Dad of mine who will take me away, so aren't you happy I found him and he will take me away from this wicked place you call home? Or are you faking everything because once I'm gone, no one will do your chores anymore?" I told her off. My dad looked at her with a look of disgust.
"You made these children do your chores?" he asked.
"No! Just Elsa, not all the children!" she argued, making herself look worse.
"So you pinned all the work on Elsa?" my dad stepped toward the wicked witch of the west.
"Well, Anna used to work too," she added.
"And why did she stop?" my dad pondered.
"Because she got...terminally ill," Mom whispered the last part, but it came out clearly enough to hear. Dad gaped at this evil woman.
"And where is your husband?" he asked.
"We are divorced." She replied.
"Surprise, surprise," Dad muttered sarcastically. He shook his head and went off to the side to talk to my witch for a mother. They bickered while Emma, Anna, Jack and I talked about the arrangement.
"I...I can't believe your leaving," Emma stammered, a tear running down her face.
"Oh Emma, don't worry. I will still always be with you. In your heart. And remember, you will always be my little sis. I love you," I said, hugging little Emma. She wiped her tears and hugged me back. Then I turned to Jack.
"And you...will always be my-" I started.
"Boyfriend," Jack interrupted, "Elsa, I want to be more than friends. I love you too much to let you go," Jack took my hand. I started to get teary eyed.
"Oh Jack, of course I will be your girlfriend, but what if I move far away?" I pondered.
"We'll find a way."
I gave a weak smile, then turned back to my dad.
"Dad, where will we live?" I asked.
"Well, I've noticed you get along too well with Jack and Emma to stop seeing them, so we will stay here. Just in a different house. In the next neighborhood." Dad hugged Anna and I. We all started to cry, all except my old mom. Then suddenly Dad took me by the elbow and pulled me to the side.
"I understand I have a lot to explain, but I need to know, how are your ice powers?" he asked. I smiled, knowing this was for sure my dad.
"They're controllable now," I assured him. Then Dad took Jack, Emma, Anna, and I out to dinner at a fast food place. We talked about how he lived and all that.
"Well, what happened was your Mom and I were going on a ship to see the king and queen of Corona. Both of us had caught a bug that night that made us sick, or seasick, as people call it. In the middle of the night, I went out on the ship deck to get some fresh air, and tried to get your mom to come but she was too sick to get up. So I walked out to get fresh air. No one else was awake, they were all in their cabins sleeping like rocks. It was very stormy, and then I saw it. A giant wave. It was coming straight toward the ship. My only instinct was to jump. So I jumped off the ship, swam as far as I could away from it, and watched the wave hit the ship, saw my wife's life flash before my eyes. The wave tore the ship to pieces and in the meantime, made everyone on it drown. I was the only survivor. I saw a scrap piece of wood and got on top of it. A skinny plank sat on top of it, so I used it as a paddle and finally a rescue found me and took me to shore after four days. I got here as quick as I could though." Dad told the whole story without missing a beat.
"You got here as quick as you could? Because it's still pretty late," Jack argued.
"Jack!" Emma scolded.
"No, no. The lad is right. I was late. But it was because after spending four days in the middle of the ocean, I was so hungry, unhealthy, and weak that I was admitted to a hospital right away. As soon as I was declared healthy, I left and came here," Dad gestured to the restaurant. I smiled and cuddled my head into my dad's shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me.
"Now tonight you will stay with Mrs. Frost, tomorrow I will show you out new house, and then in two days you will officiate move in with me," Dad explained to Anna and I. I smiled. I finally had a home.
