[ REQUESTED ] : IMAGINE;; CHENJI
to ChimChimTaeKookiesZhong chenle stood waiting for the elevator to come, he was at the hospital and wanted to pay his dog a visit.
he huffed looking down at his wrist watch, 15:46 it showed. once again, he looked at the small screen above the elevator doors displaying which level it was on and a small relieved smile creeped onto his face. fortunately for him, it was close. then a "ding!" was heard.
entering the elevator, chenle's finger hovered over the series of buttons before clicking on one which was level 9. the two doors began closing before an arm went in between it blocking it from shutting completely. baffled, chenle tilts his head to the side a little until the doors reopened revealing the person he least wanted to see.
it was park jisung, his class's shy charmer, probably the school's also, and chenle's long term crush.
"jisung?" chenle questions and jisung looks up, retracting his arm back to his side, while the other hand was holding a bouquet, and so was chenle.
"hyung!" smiling cheerfully, jisung scurries next to chenle before the doors close on him again. "w-what are you doing here?" chenle asks and jisung distances himself a little from the older. "i was going to visit my mom until i saw you! 'bout you?" jisung replies, surprised at the fact that he didn't stutter at least once during the whole process. "visiting my dog," chenle answers shortly.
"wait, why is your dog at the hospital?" jisung asks.
"isn't this the vet?"
jisung stood quietly for awhile then shakes his head.
"oh crap," being a nervous wreck, chenle tapped mindlessly at the buttons before jisung stops him.
"hyung, what are you doing?" jisung stood at the side, watching the older go doolally. "trying to stop this thing, what else?" chenle replies, slowly getting irritated.
it was not long before what chenle said actually came true. he broke the elevator. the lights dimmed, the buttons shut off and the platform came to an abrupt stop. "aaand you broke it," jisung says surprisingly not in a frustrated way like he usually would.
cursing himself silently in his head, chenle plops down on the cold floor, feeling his eyes water. it was after some thinking when jisung sat down beside chenle, joining in. "hey at least you stopped it," jisung chuckles, making an attempt to lighten the mood. "i didn't mean it this way," chenle feels something roll down his cheek and quickly wipes it but jisung took notice. chenle sniffed, "i'm sorry."
"no no! don't be! it's not your fault, OK?" shocked and lost, jisung did what ever was the first thing that came to his mind which was hesitantly slinging a gentle arm on chenle's shoulder. hissing mentally, jisung realizes how awkward he looked.
"great going, panini head," jisung insults himself internally.
"now you can't visit your mom anymore. and the flowers will rot before we even get out of here," chenle wipes his eyes with his sleeve. but neither of wanted to leave; and you're stuck in an elevator with your crush, what could go wrong?
"and now i'm stuck in here. with you," chenle then notices the arm on his shoulder. stopping hisself from blushing madly, he shrugs jisung's arm off and scooted away. i mean if that was even possible, he was literally at the edge of one of the corners in the, now broken, elevator.
"jisung, you should stay away from me," chenle stood up. the brunette sat confused. "what, why?" were the only words that left him. there were more but he stopped there; he was speechless. and hurt.
"things were going bad enough and it got worse because of you. from the time i saw you, it was unexpected. i wasn't ready and i started getting agitated. you make me nervous ok! i don't know if you walked under a ladder or used an umbrella indoors but you mess me up. and what's hard is i don't know why i'm like this!" chenle pours out everything that lay in his burdened heart for years. "and the fact that i pity myself so much during these past few minutes that felt like hours. it's annoying. you should've took the stairs so i could've avoided you at all cost. and none of this should've happened! but you didn't take the stairs and now i'm stuck in an elevator i broke myself with my crush who i now hate."
jisung was still sat down on the ground, staring at chenle with wide eyes as his lower lip hung slightly low which then cracked into a smile. "i hope i heard the last part correctly," jisung says and chenle scoffs, "you did and what now? you're gonna laugh at me?"
"no because we're mutual," jisung says and stands up, pulling chenle in for a bear hug. jisung pulls away and wipes the remaining tears on chenle's cheeks and forms chenle's lips into a smile with two of his fingers on each end. "smile for me, ok? stop crying," jisung says and chenle nods. "you don't know how long i waited for this," jisung sighs and frowns and so does chenle.
pouting, chenle tries prying off from jisungs grip. "go away, you're messing with me!" chenle yells playfully. "i'm not," jisung laughs but chenle was still sulking and crossed his arms over his chest, "whatever."
"by the way, we switched flowers," jisung hands his over to chenle. "that's why you're here right?" chenle mumbles and jisung nods.
"let me guess, you're not visiting your mom, are you?"
"nope!" jisung smiles cheekily. "but we're still stuck in an elevator," chenle says and jisung shrugs, "who cares."
the camera in the elevator zooms up on the two without any of them knowing. behind the surveillance camera was a security guard watching shiz go down via his computer.
placing his chin on his right palm, he smiles to himself and clicks on a button on his keyboard enabling the elevator to function normally again.
"hey, power's back!" a voice from the computer says and security guy clicks his tongue.
"this is some good tea but damn do they match well together," he says and turns off the monitor, "i'll go make a fan account."
