So this is the last chapter, but this isn't the end of the story. I will write a short sequel in February. It's probably going to be about ten chapters.
*eleven years later*
I woke up to the sound of the kids running around downstairs. From what I could hear, they were running from Aalya. She may be in her late sixties, but she can still run after the kids. Today was her birthday so we decided to invite the Highlanders over to celebrate. When Aidan got married she moved out, and Aalya got lonely. Me and Todoroki invited Aalya to move in with us when we got our own house. Eventually the doorbell rang so I got out of bed, walked downstairs, and opened the door. It was Aidan and her wife, Kaidance. "The triplets were fighting, so Jack's bringing them." Most of Aidan's siblings had moved so only Riley, Ellie, Gresha, Jack, and their families came to celebrate Aalya's birthday. Everyone else sent gift cards. All of Aidan's kids, except the triplets, were married and two of them had their own kids. Satan, Asher, Alois, and Victor became pro heros. Serena was training to become a pro hero and she was being taught by Eraserhead.
When everyone arrived, Todoroki got Aalya's cake. It was a chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting. "This is the best birthday ever, want to know why?" "Why is it the best birthday ever mom?" Riley was brave enough to ask. "Because I turned sixty-nine." We all laugh while all the kids looked confused. I told the kids that they would understand when they're older. All of the adults sat on the couch while Maxine, Walter, Alex, Jewel, and Ruby (Midoriya's kids) played with the Highlander kids. Lance, Tyson, and Dominic (Aidan's triplets) had just turned five so they played with Aidan's grandkids (Satan and Victor's kids). Eventually everyone went home and Aalya and I cleaned up the living room. Todoroki went to bed because he had work to do in the morning. After we cleaned up, Aalya put the kids to bed. I stayed up for a few extra hours but then I joined Todoroki in bed.
