Not From Around Here (a Benn Suede fanfic)

The Gazebo

I couldn't deal with her..not now..but I had to..shes my best friend. Oh my god, what is happening to me? I'm putting the guy I just started dating before my suicidal best friend. I didn't know what to do to make the situation worse. After lunch I went straight to history class where I saw Carter as usual, winking at me and making a bunch of sexual gestures which I ignored as I always did. For once I wasn't taking notes or paying any sort of attention to the lesson or Benn..I was just hoping Mindy would be ok.

Right when about when class was half way done Mr.Heldrig had to walk out of the class room to make more copies of some worksheet and douchebag of the year decides to slide over to me, running his fingers through his black hair.

"Hello little miss sunshine..whats got you so down?"

"Leave me alone Carter, please." I pleaded looking up at him from my seat.

"Oh god I love it when you look up at me like that..I miss you so much yknow that?" He bit his lip and raised his eyebrows.

"Carter..you called me horrible things, used me as a maid and a whore, and occasionally used me as a punching bag if you were that pissed. If I said something you didn't like or didn't agree with you would go off on me."

"Baby, I was going through a rough time and you know that." He tried to hold back his anger but I could see in his eyes he was pissed. I looked back at my paper and continued working until he huffed and walked back to his seat.

After that i found myself with some free time to talk to Mindy. I knew where she would be. I ran to gazebo and peeled open the loose boards of wood to of course find Mindy under the gazebo in fetal position with both ear-buds in so she couldn't hear me. I raked my fingers through her sandy blonde hair causing her to look up and scowl.

"LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE SKY!" She tore out her ear-buds and scooted away.

"No." I said simply. "I'm not gonna let you hurt yourself Mindy..I cant lose you Mindy."

"Well I've already lost you sky! To fucking Benn! Hes stealing you away from me..do you really need to talk about him 24/7!?"

"What do you mean? He loves me more than anything!"

"That's exactly what I mean..THAT SAPPY FLUFFY LOVE BULL SHIT! I DON'T WANNA SEE YOU HURT AGAIN SKY!"

"So you hurt yourself?"

"GO AWAY!"

"Don't need to tell me twice." With that I stormed out of the gazebo and to the library. Now the halls felt empty, dark and cold. I fought back tears thinking of what would happen if Mindy actually...killed herself. I couldn't imagine her in a coffin at rest because Mindy was never at rest. I couldn't imagine her skin without its golden glow.

Half way to the library of course I run into Carter who immediately took me by the wrist and swung me around swiftly then placed his hands tight around my waist.

"You cant lie to yourself forever yknow.." He gave a smirk and began swaying side to side almost like we were dancing.

"You are the least of my worries Carter.." I tried to walk away but he grabbed my wrist and swung me to him again. I could feel his hot breath on my neck as his lips hovered.

"Good.." He began roughly kissing my neck, his hands slithering from my waist to my lower back.

"CARTER!" I growled at him pushing him against the wall.

"Oh cmon I know what you're into and what you're not into." I couldn't help the fact that he was right but I kept an angry face. "More than that Benn kid will ever know." At that moment his devilish smirk, hazel eyes and my Benn/Mindy troubles took over and I couldn't help but cup his face with my hands and start kissing him. immediately he flipped me around so I was the one against the wall. His tongue quickly and skillfully slipping in my mouth. We continue to exchange moans for a good thirty seconds till I hear someone open a door and drop some books.

"SKYLA WHAT THE FUCK!?" I hear a very familiar voice say...shaky and choked up.
