All My Fault

**Benns POV**

I couldn't hold back my tears. I soaked up the whole scene like a sponge. Skyla with her eyes wide in sock still backed up against the wall with her lipstick smudged, and that asshole smirking at me with his hair slightly messed up from Sky's hand. I was already pissed until this dick sends me over the edge.

"Sorry buddy, looks like she actually wants a real man." Then I tackled him and punched him repeatedly in the jaw. When I stood back up he groaned and I kicked him one last time. I looked over at Sky who was mortified, her eyes almost going as wide as her mouth.

I stepped closer to her, so close that our noses almost touched. Of course I wasn't gonna lay a hand on her, I still loved her I was just really sad and disappointed and well I'm not gonna lie....angry.

"WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT SKYLA I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME! DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME? I CANT BELIEVE THIS!"

"I'm sorry, Benn...I don't know what got into me..I do love you.."

"BULLSHIT! DO YOU KNOW HOW HURT I AM? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF MY TIME I SPENT THINKING OF YOU!" My voice got somehow louder and I stepped closer making her back up. Her eyes were now filled with fear. like they were months ago when Carter had her pinned against the wall. The last thing I wanted to be was Carter, sure I was angry but I would never want to hurt my princess.

"I--I'm sorry baby." Her head bowed down as tears ran down her face. My expression softened and I backed up a bit.

"Please don't cry Sky just..why did you do it?"

"He just..kept bothering me and I figured if I kissed him he would just leave me alone but one thing led to another--" I cut her off by me lips crashing into hers, kissing her roughly but passionately.

"Promise this wont happen again Sky..please don't hurt me like that again."

"I promise with all my heart. I'm yours..no one else's."

**skylas POV**

A few weeks after that, Benns friend from Texas, Andy came by for the summer..super cool guy. Him and Mindy seemed to get along perfectly, they actually became sorta friends, but I could see a connection. One night Benn was supposed to come over and have dinner with us and I asked Min to clean up the kitchen so I could cook. When I got home that day from school I noticed the whole kitchen was still a mess and Mindy's dumb ass was nowhere to be found. She has been bitching about Benn for a long while now and I couldn't take it so I called her up.

"Where are you! You said you would clean up the kitchen so I could cook dinner tonight for when Benn comes!" I yell through the phone, some tears falling down my face. Then she sent me way over the my boiling point.

"Well when I realized he was going to be having dinner with him I didn't bother."

"WHY DO U HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS? JUST..DIE ALREADY!" That was one of the most regretful things I have ever said. She immediately just hung up on me.

Later that day I get a call from Benn.

"Whats up baby?" I ask not prepared for what he would say next.

"Sky come to the hospital. Mindy has deep cuts." He sounded choked up as I could hear the wind in the background giving me the indication hes driving. I dropped my phone on the carpet not even hanging up.

This is all my fault...my best friend is dying and its all my fault.

I dropped to my knees as I hear Benn still on the phone.

"Hello? Babe?.....shit." With that he hung up...

When I walked in the room I saw it..my worst nightmare..her face without its golden glow. unconscious and lifeless. I looked over and saw Andy on his knees sobbing. Benn looked at me and walked towards me and placed his hand on my hip. The only thing I did was stare at Mindy's lifeless face as I said to myself in my head; Its all your fault, Its all your fault, its all your fault.

"Baby its ok Im here.."

"No..its not."

"Trust me, everything's gonna be ok Skyla."

"No..its not Bennett!" I raised my voice a bit and he backed up and gave me a confused look.

"Its all my fault.."

"How is it your fault princess?"

"I didn't fucking mean it.." I told him exactly what happened balling my eyes out in the process.

"Baby..you didnt mean it."

"IF I'D NEVER MET YOU NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED BENN!"

"Are you seriously regretting meeting me and yelling it while your best friend sits here and dies?"

"SHES NOT GONNA DIE! SHE WONT I WONT LET HER IF SHES GONNA DIE IM GOING DOWN WITH HER!"

"well, how is this all my fault now?"

"If i'd never met you Mindy would be fine!"

"Skyla I know you don't mean any of this..youre just really upset."

"Leave! youre probably the last person she wants to be around her anyway!"

"I am..I love you."

"Fuck off."

When Benn walked out of the room, I looked over at Andy who was too busy crying to even notice what was going on.

"Please Mindy, come back..please." I thought he was going a bit over board. I mean I did this to her and I'm her best friend and I'm not crying that much.

"Andy it's going to be ok she's gonna get better."

"No, you don't get it I love her. I was going to ask if she wanted to be my girlfriend." I shed a tear, now I am the one ruining someone's love.

"I'm sorry..its all my fault."

"It's ok Sky, you didn't mean it. She's going to be ok, you said that yourself." He took her limp hand and held it, trying not to mess with the tubes that were attached.

Benn was hurt.

I was hurt.

Mindy was hurt.

Andy was hurt.

Everyone was hurt.
