The snow was fresh on the floor, but tiny footprints left marks to a little dragon's path.
Mother CAN NOT make me go to this school! I like it here where I fit in and can do whatever I please! Well I don't fit in... but no one looks at me strangely because I'm a princess!
A female icewing followed the tracks, she smirked for she knew she would find her dragonet sooner or later.
"Aurora! I know your in this cave! Just come out! This school won't be that bad! Plus you can see your father! He will be close by!" Tundra called as she held up her talons and counted to three.
"FATHER! I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM IN FOREVER! LETS GO RIGHT AWAY!" Aurora screamed while flapping out of her hiding spot behind the boulder in the far corner. She bounded into the sky with her belongings, off to school.
————————————————————————As they flew over the icewing kingdom, Aurora looked at all of the beautiful things up ahead.
I've never seen a forest before! Maybe father will show me the nightwing kingdom! Isn't it funny that a nightwing and an icewing has a kid? We were mortal enemies, but I sealed the deal of friendship! Oooh-look a mountain!
A huge mountain lie ahead. It was so tall it pierced the sky with it's massive point at the peek. A bunch of dragons landed at a opening in the mountain.
This must be my school!
Tundra slowly descended to the cave, reluctantly Aurora followed. As Aurora landed she looked everywhere for a worried, black dragon, with small spectacles, and huge wings. It didn't take long to find Comet, he was a very large dragon.
"FATHER!!!!!" Aurora exclaimed while she ran at Comet with her wings wide open. She finally reached Comet and hugged him as he hugged her back.
"I think you got it from here, right Comet? I wish I could stay and catch up, but the icewings await." Tundra explained in her beautiful, melodic voice.
"I got this one, let's find a date when we can see each other and talk. Maybe, next full moon?" Comet droned on while pushing his glasses up his nose and pulling Aurora into a one wing side hug.
"Its a date. Bye my love." said Tundra and she flew off.
"Eeeeewwwww. Save the mushy gushy stuff for when I'm NOT around," Aurora remarked as she pulled away from her father's hug, "Lets go inside, or I might be late!" Aurora yelled, for she was already half way from the landing pad to the cave opening.
As she walked in she was in awe. It was beautiful. So many colored dragons, and the inside of the mountain was beautiful.
Not but a few moment later did Comet come bounding in after his speedy daughter.
"It... it's beautiful..." Aurora said in awe as she marveled at the beauty.
"Yeah." Comet replied while he pushed his daughter forward to find out where she was staying from one of the founders.
They found a yellow dragon. She looked very happy and went by the name of Sunny. She said she was part nightwing part sandwing. She was beautiful. She was very helpful, she gave Aurora a map and directed her to her room. She also gave Aurora a schedule of her classes.
"Thanks, Sunny!" Aurora exclaimed as she walked off to her dorm.
When Comet and Aurora made their way to the entry of her dorm, they parted ways by embracing once more. Then Aurora walked into her dorm.
The first thing she saw when she walked in was a blood red sky wing with a golden earring in one of her ears. When Aurora walked in further the skywing turned and looked at her. She gave Aurora a disgusted look and spat a hot ember at Aurora's talons.
Great welcome committee... This is going to be a super "fun" year.
