At this point, the black blob from the distance was beginning to take shape. It was a NightWing, no doubt one from the academy. Aurora vaguely remembered the NightWing. Then it hit her. It was Futureseeker from her winglet.
"What are you doing here?" Aurora called as she stopped in midair to greet Futureseeker.
"Looking for you!" The strange dragon echoed back to her. She acknowledged Aurora with her wing to fly down to a small island so they could talk.
"Is it destroyed?" Aurora said without making eye contact, she knew Futureseeker was all seeing so it was at least worth asking.
"Mostly." Futureseeker replied quietly.
"What about Stonemover?" Aurora murmured, she knew she shouldn't care but she couldn't shove away the twinge of sadness that he might have died.
Futureseeker replied with a sorrowful look. She was just as upset as Aurora.
"Why did you come looking for me?" Aurora said with pain in her voice from the news of Stonemover's passing.
"To help you." Futureseeker said all too ominously.
"Why would I need help?" Aurora questioned nervously. Only one thing was going through her head.
Prophecy.
Futureseeker took a deep sigh, "The boulder will fall down the mountain, killing all within his reach. Unless the unknown appears and brings the light from within. I don't know what it means. I'm sorry."
The unknown? Me? Oh... My parents.
"Futureseeker?" Aurora said while looking longingly at the Ice Kingdom.
"Your family. I know what your thinking. No, I don't know. I'm sorry. But, I know someone who might know. But also might kill to see you." Futureseeker said knowingly.
"Him..? The one who sent the mountain down?" Aurora inquired.
"Him. Boulder."
