The sound of talons against the floor made Aurora shiver. Thousands of dragons running for their lives. Screaming. Armies. Pure terror. Now I know Fin is not lying...
Aurora flew out of the cave and ran to the shadows for cover. She knew she needed to look for Fin, he was her only hope. When Aurora made it out to the Great Hall, she saw Fin fighting a NightWing with heavy armor on and a blank expression. Aurora pounced on the NightWing and blasted her frost breath in his face.
Don't show any mercy. I want the truth.
The truth is, Aurora isn't a princess. The royal family adopted her after her real parents died.
I have a feeling the snow will melt, and I will know the truth. I think Fin will help me, and this bad NightWing guy has in on my family's death.
"We need to get out of here!" Fin shouted, as if Aurora was somewhere distant.
"I know squid brain!" Aurora retorted while stretching her wings and beginning to fly. As she flew she felt something very sharp whiz itself past her and knick her ear. As she looked at what had drawn her blood and had lodged itself in the wall, Jade Mountain started to collapse.
"FLY!" Fin yelled as he flew out of the cave.
Is that... an animus spear? Aurora think straight! Fly out!
Aurora flew for her life out of the cave mouth. She flew after Fin to who knows where. She flew forever, until Fin said they were safe.
"Where are we?" Aurora questioned, she had never been here before and knew that they flew for quite sometime.
"Safe." Fin replied ominously while avoiding eye contact with Aurora.
"Fin! Where are we!?" Aurora barked she stood up and began to pace.
"Not in Phyrria..." Fin mumbled.
"Then where are we?" Aurora said softly as she sat away from Fin and made a sheet of ice to lay on.
"I... don't know...." Fin stammered. Fin looked very uncomfortable and he dived into the water then came out.
"Are we ever gonna go back..?" Aurora asked sheepishly.
"Yes, but we need help." Fin replied.
Aurora began to fidget on her ice.
What if these dragons aren't friendly... Or.... or...... dragons!
"Aurora?" Fin whispered.
"Yes, Fin?" Aurora replied softly.
"There is something behind you" Fin stammered.
"Ha ha ha... very funny Fin" Aurora said flippantly.
"No I'm serious! DUCK!" Fin yelled.
"What the-" Aurora said as she turned around and saw an angry red dragon just before Fin and her were knocked unconscious.
