The New Arrivals

Chapter 6

Soon, it was time for the Harpercops to be taking that trip to the lake with the Newtons for that fourth of July weekend and have some fun together. 

Kali had called her friends Teeders, David and Cynthia up and they were able to join them. 

The three other adventure kids soon arrived in front of the Newtons house, where the two families were just getting ready to leave for their trip. 

"Hi!" the Harpercop siblings greeted their friends once they saw them pull up and get out of the taxi. 

Cynthia froze in slight panic once she saw Beethoven and the puppies running straight towards her. 

"No, no, no, NOOOOO!" Cynthia cried out as she was knocked to the ground by the dogs and they began licking her, getting slobber all over the fashionista. 

"Hi, Cynthia" Beethoven smirked as he greeted her, knowing the rich girl hated dog slobber while he had her pinned to the ground.  

"Hiya, Cynthia! Hiya! Hiya! Hiya!" the puppies kept licking her. 

"Yeah. Hey, Beethoven. Long time no see" Cynthia glowered slightly at the st bernard as she got up and wiped the sticky dog slobber off her face, groaning in disgust. 

Jacob had also come to, just in time to see his family for vacation. 

"Hey, everybody" the college boy greeted, then approached Kali and ruffled up her hair. "Hey, Kalina. How's my favorite little sister doing?"

Kali groaned in annoyance, glowering up slightly at her half brother. "I've already told you not to call me that!"  

Jacob only chuckled to her, then went to see the rest of his family. 

"So glad you guys could come" Kali smiled to her friends.

"Us too" Teeders smiled back to her best friend. 

"Yeah, this is gonna be awesome!" David added. 

"Yeah. We're so glad Marinette and Adrien actually allowed you to go" Brock said to Cynthia, mentioning her two friends back in Paris where she was currently living. 

"How are they by the way?" Kali asked Cynthia, curious to know on what Mari and Adrien had been up to since they last saw them. 

"Oh, they're good" Cynthia replied, shrugging her shoulders. "It's the usual for us. Same old, same old"

"Are you sure they're gonna be okay without you for a couple of days?" Ann asked, being a bit worried since Cynthia and her friends had secret alter egos they used to protect Paris from the evils of the world. 

"It's no biggie" Cynthia replied, shrugging her shoulders like it was no big deal. Saying how Ladybug and Cat Noir can handle protecting Paris without her for a few days. 

Everyone then prepared to load into the car. 

"Thanks for having us come with you guys on this trip, Mr Newton" Teeders said to George. 

"We're sorry if it may be a little crowded though" Jacob apologized. 

"Oh, no. It's no trouble at all" George told the adventure kids. "I love this! Right, Alice?" he then looked over to his wife.  

"Yes, honey. You're Mr Fun" Alice replied, struggling a bit with her children to bring the puppies over and get them into the car. 

"That's a lot of dogs" Cynthia sighed, feeling uncomfortable as she climbed into the back of the car to her seat with the others.  

"Geez, Cindy, you make that sound like a bad thing" David said to his dog hater friend.  

"I'm a cat person" Cynthia replied to her friends.
