As soon as everyone was asleep, I went out of the library to find this El Diablo character. I was going down every hallway, going through every door. I almost gave up when I heard a humming noise coming from the last room that I needed to check. I slowly creaked open the door, and almost fell into the black abyss below. At the last second I grabbed on to the door frame for dear life, and pulled myself back up. I called into the darkness before me, "Hellooooooo! Anyone here?" No one replied, and i was getting pretty tired, so I decided to go back to the library. I felt breathing down my neck and I whipped around; no one was there. I chanced one more look into what I now know as "The Dark Room". Nothing, as usual. I turned around again, completely unaware, and 2 inches from my face was El Diablo. The little bastard! How dare he come up on me like that totally unannounced? "If you wanted a tour you could've just asked." His breath was horrid. It was a mixture of onions and garlic, like he had just mixed the two and ate it straight. He grabbed my arm and pulled me upright from my crouched position. He brought me into what I assumed was his office. I took a seat at the chair in front of his desk, and he took his chair behind his desk. "So, what do you want to know? You get three questions." I really wanted to know how he kept this a secret from us for so long. "How did you keep this from us for so long? We thought you were just the goody-two-shoes, scaredy cat. Now it turns out you're the freakin devil!" He smiled his devilish smile and spun around once in his chair to face me again. "Now, there are just things that you will never understand. I was acting, and I never listened to you. I answer to a much greater authority: Hades. And now if you don't listen to me, you will feel his fury." He didn't sound wimpy this time, he means business. So I decided to go along with his little game.

I was instructed to go back to the library with a sealed letter from "Charlie". We are all so surprised by the fact that he has been tricking us the entire time. When I got back to the library, Sadie practically jumped into my arms. "Where have you been? I was so worried about you!" She punched me playfully on the shoulder, and I said, "Hey, I'm fine. I ran into Charlie a.k.a El Diablo. He gave me this letter. I think we should read it together, it looks kind of important." I opened it very slowly for the added suspense, and smoothed it out on the table. "Steps to get out of my haunted game. 1: Play by my rules. One toe out of line and your dead. 2: Know how to play Would you Rather, my way. 3: Watch out for the demons. Don't get possesed, because the moment you do, you all get pulled down to hell. Meet me tomorrow in the dining hall to go over final rules of the game." There was a few minutes of awed silence. Sadie was the first to pipe in, "I don't like the sound of that, I wanna go home!" I looked at her and honestly sympathized with her. "I know, but i have a feeling that he won't let us leave until his little game ends." She crumpled to the floor and I held her to try to comfort her. "It'll be over soon, and we'll be back in our nice, warm houses, ok?" But instead of a reply, I got a snore- she was asleep. I put her on the bed and tucked her in with a kiss on the forehead. Then I thought back to what I had said, and I knew it wasn't true.
