There was trouble in Paris. A bus was hanging over the side of a bridge and was about to fall off into the water below.
Luckily, our favorite scarlet macaw superhero Ara Ecarlate was here to save the day!
She single-handedly lifted the bus back up onto the road, getting the passengers to safety.
But that's not all she had done. Earlier that morning she had rescued a runaway baby in it's carriage and saved a bunch of school kids trapped inside a fire burning building.
And that was only today. Here busy week so far was anything but... Who knew that her new life at being a superhero was such hard work.
The Parisians cheered for one of their city's heroes for saving the day yet again. But just then, Ara heard a clock chime and turned to the nearest clock tower seeing what time it was.
"Oh, sh*t...."
Ara waved to the Parisians then quickly flew off towards her house, remembering her parents would be home any second now from their pedicure appointment.
She was nearing her house when flew through the open window and de-transformed back into her civilian-self just as her parents walked through the door.
That was too close to call.
"Oh, hi sweetie" her mother Cassandra greeted as she came in.
"Oh, hey!" Cynthia waved to her parents, chuckling nervously.
"Wow! You sure look like you're in a rush" Cynthia's father Christoperson noticed she was all a mess, plus sweating a little.
"Yeah, I was, uh... Out for a run!" Cynthia quickly lied, but then froze nervously thinking her parents would know she was hiding something since it wasn't natural of her to go out for a run.
Thankfully, they didn't seem to notice.
"Okay, have fun" they both smiled to their daughter, then left the room.
After they left, Cynthia sighed and headed upstairs to her room, collapsing on her bed exhausted while Hoola floated out of Cynthia's pocket and over to her side.
"When did my life get so complicated?" Cynthia groaned while giving Hoola a strawberry to eat and restore her energy from all the excitement earlier.
"As if keeping you a secret is difficult enough" she looked to her kwami.
"Hey, just be glad I'm not a real scarlet macaw. Or if Tikki and Plagg were literally a ladybug and house cat" Hoola mentioned before giggling. "Can you imagine that?"
Cynthia then imagined how much more difficult it would really be for her, Adrien and Marinette to hide their kwamis if they were actual animals. Cynthia just should be thankful that Hoola was a kwami and not an actual scarlet macaw.
Cynthia and Hoola then laughed together thinking about it.
Cynthia was sure glad she had Hoola to talk to, because her parents were always busy with work and her goth sister Cecilia was just... weird.
Just then, Cynthia's phone vibrated, meaning she had gotten a text. She looked to see it was from Alya, asking her if she remembered the bet between Alix and Kim today at the Trocadero in five minutes. There was also a reminder that Adrien would be there. And if Adrien was there, Marinette would be too.
"CRAP!" Cynthia yelled, having forgotten about the whole thing and now she only had five minutes to get to the Trocadero, which she knew wasn't even enough time.
"You're never gonna make it on time!" Hoola told her owner.
"Hmmm, I might not... but Ara Ecarlate will" Cynthia smirked as she turned to her kwami.
