In Love With a Bad Boy

3 days before school

Anna wasn't ready. She never expected to leave home earlier than college but she got into a great highschool a few states away from home so how dare she not take the chance to better her future.

"Sweetie? Are you ready to go?" Anna's mom yelled from downstairs.

"Yeah ma. I'll be down in a minute." Anna yells back while finishing throwing her stuff in her suitcases and carry on bag. She throws her carry on bag over she shoulder and rolls her suitcases behind her.

"Ready." Anna says and she walks into the kitchen where her mom was waiting. They walk out the door and put Anna's suitcases into the trunk of the car.

"Are you sure you're okay with flying by yourself? Do you have everything? Do you have enough money until I put more in your bank account?" Her mom was asking as they're driving to the airport.

"Yes ma. I'm okay flying alone, I checked everything 4 times, and I have $300 in my bank account. I'll be fine for a while." Anna said, rolling her eyes. She was flying from Tennessee to New York for school. She got into an amazing school in New York so she was going to be living in their dormitory while attending school there so her mom didn't have to find a new house and job in New York.

It took them about 20 minutes to get to the airport.

"Call me when you land. Have an amazing time at school, make lots of freinds, and stay out of trouble. No boys, they're gonna cause problems. Bye baby." Her mom said squeezing her in a hug.

"Bye ma." With that, Anna was off to airport security and to her gate. She arrived a few minutes before the gate opened and met a guy around her age with lime green hair and a red hoodie who was going on the same flight as her. They waited together until they got to board the plane.

"I'm Jace, and you are?"

"I'm Anna."

"So, what are you up to flying up to New York 3 days before school starts?"

"I'm from here but I got into a school in Manhattan."

"That's dope! I go to school in Manhattan too. I was down here visiting my cousin for a few weeks. What school are you going to?"

"I'm going to Manhattan High. It's suppost to be super preppy so I don't know how well I'm gonna interact with the other students."

"That's where I go. Don't worry, it's not as preppy as it seems. It's actually super cool. We have some good art programs and coding classes if you're into that stuff. There also a lot of partying in the dorms."

"Really? If my mom knew she wouldn't let me go. 'Not in a million years will I let you go off to some school full of party animals' she would say." Anna says as the intercom says her section, which also happened to be Jace's section, could start boarding. They walk into the plane and sit. Their seats ended up being right next to eachother with another girl who was just a bit older than them sitting in the last seat of the three. They all ended up talking and all told eachother their names, the schools they were attending, and a bit about themself and their family.

The older girl was Issa who was 19 and she was attending Juliard as a major in dance, was born and raised in Georgia but her family moved to Tennessee when she was in Highschool to help care for her grandmother.

Jace was 16 and attending Manhattan High, was born and raised in New York but has family in Tennessee.

Anna was 15 and attending Manhattan High, was born in California and lived with bother her parents and her brother who is 7 years older than her before her parents divorced and her mom moved them to her home state Tennessee without her brother and dad.

The three talked for the around 3 hour flight. When they landed they all exchanged numbers. Issa took her cab to the dormitory for Juliard. Anna didn't know yet but the dormitory for Manhattan High didn't open until tommorow.

"I guess you didn't know but the dorms aren't available until tomorrow and you don't have any family here. You could stay with me and my parents. I don't think they'll mind." Jace says as they stand outside waiting for a cab. Anna looks shocked.

"I can just get a hotel. You don't need to worry."

"Just come with me. I'm not gonna feel good unless I help you. I'll call my mom before we get there." He says as he takes out his phone and quickly calls a number.

"Hey, mom. So, I made a freind and she doesn't have anywhere to stay for the night but she'll be moving into the schools dorms tomorrow. Can she stay with us?" He asks.

"Of course." His mother responds.

"Thank you." He says. "See you later."

"Bye." His mom says before hanging up.

"You are clear to stay with me." Jace says before hailing a cab. A cab comes up to them. He throws their suitcases into the trunk and get into the cab giving the driver his building address. Anna fidgets with her hands during the 20 minute drive.

When they arrived at the building Jace got their suitcases out of the trunk and gave one of Anna's suitcases to her and rolled his and Anna's other suitcase behind him. He leads Anna to the elevator in his building and presses the button for the 5th floor. They stay silent for the elevator ride to the 5th floor. He leads her to his family's apartment. Once they walked in Jace's mom was at the door.

"You're home!" Jace's mom says while going in for a hug. "You must be his new freind." Jace moved away from his mom after a minute.

"Mom, this is Anna. She's not very social and doesn't talk much." Jace says.

"It's wonderful to meet you Anna. Let me show you to your room for the night." She says leading Anna down a hallway.

"This will be your room. That room is Jace's, and that room is the bathroom." She says pointing to each room.

"Thank you for letting me stay here." Anna says.

"You are welcome darling. Would you two like anything to eat?" She ask.

"I'm not that hungry." Anna says quietly.

"I'm not that hungry either mom. I'll get us some food if we get hungry later." After Jace says that his mom leaves to the living room while Anna and Jace go into their rooms. Jace unpacked the clothes he brought with him to Tennessee while Anna lays on the bed in her room. Anna picks up her phone from next to her and calls her mom.

"Hey mom. I got to New York safe. I'm staying with a freind I made since the dorms don't open until tommorow." She says.

"Stay safe darling. I love you." She responds.

"I sense you're busy. I won't keep you. I love you too. Bye." Anna says and hangs up. After she hangs up she lays around thinking for a bit before she falls asleep.

20 minutes after Anna falls asleep Jace knocks on her door to check on her but walks in to see her sleeping. He goes out and makes some ramen and eats it before showering and getting ready for bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Wow about 1260 words for the first chapter. I don't know if every chapter will be a whole day but I wanna keep the chapters somewhat long but I don't think I can deal with writing over 1000 words a chapter. I hope you guys enjoy this story as it goes on.
