Chapter 24

Isaac was sure that they are far enough, he turned and faced Cordilia. He looked very conflicted.

"Cordilia" He called out, Cordilia snapped out of her inner monologues.

"What is it?" Cordilia asked, she could see how bothered Isaac is, Cordilia understood.

"Look, I'm sorry" Cordilia heave out a sigh when Isaac held up his hand, halting her, his brows were furrowed.

"Someone is eavesdropping" Isaac said, in Japanese.

"It's not surprising. I caught a sight of Lily's pink hair by the Bush earlier" Cordilia said before she she sat down on the chair, Isaac walked over to his and sat down, settling himself in front of Cordilia

"I have been thinking. You were right all along. What I have been doing is very dangerous. Throwing a rock in the ocean created alot of ripples and distortion. The plot is not going to its supposed way. It's my fault. I should have known and listened to you" Cordilia said, looking down, clenching her hand on the book.

"I can't really blame you that much. I think it's time I tell you..." Isaac trailed off as he leaned back to his chair and looked at Cordilia dead in the eyes

"I did die and Transmigrated in this world, as a Villain that had a terrible fate, I ought to change the plot. It did not turn out well. I did not know what happened, but...." Isaac paused, Cordilia had the look of realisation on her face.

"You were reborn again, with Alexander" Cordilia whispered in disbelief

"Yes I did. So I just accepted my fate and go along the plot, however I did not expect to receive news about 'Ice Queen' and Modernic books from merchant. And then I instantly knew that you are a transmigrator. Like me, so I am waiting for the day my members supposed visit to Shooting Star Academy. I was horrified when I found out how much change you caused. And its not a good thing. If Heroine did not paired up with one of the capture targets, it's game over, this world will collapse" Isaac said as he took a deep and heavy tired sigh

"What about the Hidden Target? He is still there! Heroin haven't encountered with him yet!" Cordilia exclaimed

".... But its difficult to catch him." Isaac frowned.

Adrian James Blaze, the son of the Archduke of the Blaze clan. Signature appearance is their blazing fire like eyes. Adrian is a very difficult one to deal with, one must be on their toes while dealing with him. He has a strict and noble up bringing. He fell for the Heroine for her smarts, bravery, innocence, and her holy mother like nature. Though he was in denial most of the time, if Heroine haven't jumped in front of him, taking the blow that was supposed to gravely injure him from the Villainess. Adrian let go of his denial and accepted the Heroine's love, he killed the Villainess brutally in revenge. He waited for 5 years before the Heroine came out of her coma, proposed and got married. Happy Ending.

"You are going to play matchmaker then" Isaac said, Cordilia nodded

"You think we have any other choice?" Cordilia asked, Isaac sighed

"What are they even talking about?" Lily frowned, wishing she had supper ears so she can eavesdrop.

"Why are we even here in the first place?" Robert asked, they watched as Lily inched closer to the door.

"They are talking in foreign language" Charles pointed out, the door wasn't even close.

Lily sighed, disappointed. They watched as Cordilia and Isaac step out of the room, exchanging a few words.

"They are watching us, quite a few of the fans as well" Isaac commented, Cordilia gave a helpless and bitter smile

"I know." Cordilia said, they stared at each other for awhile

"How good is your acting?" Isaac asked, Cordilia frowned

"I don't know. I can cry, I think nostalgia about my past life can make me break down in tears, it always does" Cordilia said, Isaac nodded

"Let's give them a show. Let's break up" Isaac said

"Don't be conceited, bastard, we're not together" Cordilia said before she took a deep breath and recalled her past life, her face grew more gloomy.

"Don't worry. I'll compensate your help. I don't think I am the suitable one for you" Cordilia said as she clutched her book closer to his chest, her eyes were overshadowed by her bangs.

"Seems like so" Isaac turned his back on Cordilia, Cordilia turned her back on him as well.

"And besides, we've done nothing but fight. It's unhealthy" Isaac said, Cordilia sighed as she let herself fall back, leaning on Isaac's back

"You're right. So this is the end of us?" Cordilia asked, a sad smile bloomed on her face

"It seems so. I guess I should find another way to straightened the alliance." Isaac said

"Answer me this though. Did you love me?" Isaac asked

Cordilia's face blanked. Love?

"........ How should I know? I don't even know what love is. But I do know, you and I are just friends so I think that's a no?" Cordilia said, more like asked, looking down, scrunching her face in confusion.

"I see. I'll see you around then" Isaac began walking away.

Cordilia stood there in the hallway, shifting her body to stare at Isaac's departing back. She began recalling about her past and how she missed it. Tears fell from her eyes. Though it looked so wrong on her blank face, her expression gradually changed into sadness, pain, nostalgia, and longing.

From the others perspective, Cordilia was crying from the heartbreak.

'Poor Miss Cordilia' Lily thought, wanting to get out of the Bush but the others held her back and shook their head.

Cordilia clutched her book closer to her chest, because of the force, her bandaged hand began to show spots of red, indicating that its bleeding. Cordilia sobbed before she began running to the opposite direction.

Leonard immediately gave a chase. Elreste stared at the departing figure.

'One obstacle has been removed. Only one left' he thought before he turned his back and walked away.
