Btw I'm gonna try and make Benny's words in bold like this but I'm lazy so well see😂
*Your pov*
Right now I am currently washing the dishes because I mean, they're not gonna clean themselves. "Hey babe" I hear as I feel a pair of arms snake around my waist and feel a hug from behind. "Hey" I say, instantly smiling as soon as I hear his voice.
"How was your day?" He says, spinning me around to face him. "It was good, how was yours?" "It was good, so what are we having for dinner" he says, looking through the fridge for something to snack on.
"I don't know, do you wanna order something, or do you want a home cooked meal?" "I don't know, pizza sounds good" "Alright, go order it" I say while drying my hands off. He smiles and goes to order the pizza. Every time he smiles I just get butterflies and can't help but smile too.
The pizza finally arrives and I answer the door and give the lady the money and say thank you and I walk back to the kitchen with Benny. "It's here" I say as I see Benny getting two plates down from the cabinet. After we are done eating we go sit on the couch for a while and watch Netflix until it time to go to bed.
*Next day*
I wake up at around 8 and get ready for the day. I see Benny is already gone to practice before their game tonight. I'm going tonight, you may think "oh that's his wife, she probably goes to all his games", well that's incorrect.
I'm currently a general surgeon at the Grey+Sloan Memorial Hospital (don't hate me for that) and I work mainly the second shift, but I had a day off today, usually the days I have off are not on his game days so I never really get the chance to go.
*time skip to before the game*
I'm at the stadium now and I go find Benny before the game to wish him good luck. I go through the gate and enter the stadium and I head down the hall and I see Benny about to go out for the game.
He sees me and walks towards me and gives me a hug. "Hey babe, I'm glad you could make it, I'm happy to finally have my number one supporter out here cheering me on" he says smiling from ear to ear. "Me too, I finally get to see you in all of your glory" I say exaggerating a bit and smiling.
"Alright well, I'm not gonna hold you back so good luck, I know you'll do great, I love you" I say kissing his cheek. "Thanks boo *winks and smiles* I love you too". He then runs out on the field and I head up to the bleachers and get my spot near the dugout.
*time skip to 4th inning*
*announcers voice* "AND THERE GOES BENNY RODRIGUEZ WITH A HOME RUN, FIRST, SECOND, THIRD ANNNNND-" then all of a sudden a guy comes out of nowhere and Benny trips over him, hitting his head on the ground and it looks as if his leg just fell under him.
Then, I hear nothing, like the world has stopped. I see Benny on the ground, completely still, just laying there. I immediately jump from my seat and run down to him, the whole team knows me and how much I care for Benny and how scared I am of him getting hurt, working in a hospital really does something to you.
I get down there, tears already in my eyes for the fear that something serious happened to his head, I'm less concerned for his leg right now because of the fact that his head took a nasty hit to the ground and he's unconscious.
I get on me knees beside him and say "Someone help me move him, we have to be extremely careful, please" one of his best friends on the team, Enrique, comes over and helps me move him out of the way and over to the side. I lay his head in my lap and I feel him move.
When I see that I yell at another one of his teammates standing by, Tony, and I ask him to give me some water. He hands it to me and I give it to Benny and I slowly sit him up. "How many fingers am I holding up?" I say, putting three fingers up in front of him. "Uhhh, four wait no never mind, I see three, I was dizzy there for a second".
I tell Tony to help me get him to the bench and he does, I hear Benny wince in pain because of his leg. "Uh ok, so I'm gonna call the ambulance over, we're gonna take him to the hospital, call me or have someone call me when the game is over, I'll tell you how he's doing" I say rushing for my phone in my back pocket.
They arrive and they load him into the ambulance. I meet them there with my car and run into the hospital with them. They take him to get scanned for his leg and head and I wait, talking to a few of the other surgeons. I see Meredith, aka my best friend (no shame for this) and she sees me and walks over. "Hey I heard about Benny, what happened?"
I explained to her what happened and she hugged me and told me everything was going to be alright and she talked with me until she got paged for Bailey and had to go.
So then I just waited and eventually they came to get me and told me he has a concussion and he dislocated his knee but it shouldn't take long to heal and it won't be too hard/long of a recovery but just make sure he's ok before he tries to walk or anything.
He then comes out in a wheelchair and I tell them goodbye and thanks and everything and I head out to the car with Benny. I hear my phone ring and it's Tony. "Hey Tony, how'd it go?" I ask. "It went good we won 6-3, how's Benny?" He says. "Well he has a concussion and a dislocated knee but I think he'll be better soon" we talk for a minute and we hang up.
"How did it go?" "You guys won 6-3" "Aha yes!" I smile and we head home. I help Benny into the house and to the couch, he said he wants to sleep there tonight because he's exhausted and he still has his jersey on but he doesn't feel like he can shower because he's that tired and hurt, I told him he can sleep I in the bed and I'll wash the sheets tomorrow but there is no arguing with him.
I wipe his face off with a damp rag so that he can at least be that much clean and kiss his forehead. "How did I ever get such an amazing wife?" He says as he smile and then he heads off to sleep. I shower and hop into bed and drift off to sleep.
Haha trash ik but it's whatever, leave a comment if you liked it or not or an idea for another chapter or something :) and next time I post will probably be as long as it took me to post this idk, I'm a huge procrastinator😂
