Ok so let me explain myself😂 so the high school has a thing where 8th graders can be in marching band but they can't march (anymore) so they just play music with the band, all 8th graders have to be in pit since they can't march and I just happen to be in pit rn because of the 8th grade thing, I originally play trumpet but I also know most percussion parts and everything so yea, but the only reason I am allowed to play stand tunes is because have my own trumpet and I'm allowed to only play it in the stands (if you don't know what that is it's songs that they play when the football team has a touchdown and songs for just to play during the games like the "hey song", "hey baby"^^, "dude looks like a lady", etc.) and I really like hey baby so why not make something to it😂 and also my crush is in 9th grade in drum line so like, yeaaaaaa, sorry if you have no idea what anything means during this😂 hope you enjoy it though :)
And also I just wanted to make that stuff clear just Incase I get anything wrong for marching since I am a rookie who just finished band camp.^^^

"UGH, bsf/n I can't find my sheet music!" I always look at my music before games just to make sure I'm not messing up anything and we can't have the music with us on the field so I like to do this.
"Have you checked your hand?" "Oh...I'm sorry, it's just that Benny is here tonight and I'm nervous and I-" "wait, your biggest crush of ALL TIME for once isn't playing baseball? And he's at a FOOTBALL GAME?! Girl he's got it for you"
"Pfft what do you mean, no he d- what have you heard?" "Y/N the whole school knows he likes you and the whole school also knows that you like him" shoot. Maybe he is here for me then. No, no Y/N he's not, people don't like me, what, I don't know. I hope I don't mess up. "Alright guys, it's time to head down to the field, make sure you're tuned up and your shoes are tied"
Alright here we go. We get down to the field and march like we always do. While marching I see Benny. I know he's here for the game, no one comes JUST to watch the band perform. It's just a plus. Well that's what people who aren't in band think anyway.
We get up to the stands and we wait for the game to start, I can't help but get distracted by Benny during those few minutes waiting. He's just so perfect. Stop it Y/N, you need to focus. I had just regained my focus when I see the players rush out on to the field.
A few minutes into the first quarter our team scores a touchdown. We play the song for after we score a touchdown which is called "boya" short for blow it out of you a**. Yes we do actually play that after a touchdown. It's kind of a "we scored and we're shoving it in your face" thing. (Don't ask who composed it because idk all I know is that we play it😂)
During the games, every few minutes we play another stand tune. We play the hey song and light em up and eventually it's the second quarter. After 3 more touchdowns it's halftime. Here we go, don't mess up Y/N, don't mess up.
We finish our performance and receive a standing ovation. I smiled to myself and look up in the stands. I see Benny looking at me, smiling and clapping. I'm glad I'm already red faced from being hot in the uniform and performing so he won't be able to see me blushing.
