Disclaimer : this will be a short chapter since I forgot to start writing it until literally 4 hours until 2019.
Sero's POV
Man, Christmas seemed like it wasn't that long ago, but here I am, sat on the couch, 14 minutes until the new year..
I sighed, watching as my class got all pumped up. Kirishima and Bakugou weren't there, they had went out just a bit earlier so that they could make out probably. Then, I got an idea. I turned to Kaminari, who was seated beside me.
"Let's go to my room and watch the countdown there," I whispered to Denki. He simply nodded and we went upstairs to my room. I grabbed my laptop and put the countdown on as I sat beside him.
"Next year, my goal is to be the absolute best hero, and best boyfriend, I can be," I said to him, a warm smile plastered on my face
"My goal is to love you so much that I short-circuit.. and to get better grades.." Denki replied. I chuckled a bit at the last part, squeezing my boyfriend's hand as we waited for the countdown. I had time to think..
Man, I really love him. And maybe words can't describe that, but whenever I see him, my life lights up.
"Denki, whenever I see you, hear you, or brush past you as you walk by in the halls, I realize how much I love you. You are determined and strong, lovable and adorable, and one day, you'll be an amazing hero on top of all that." I said, wrapping my arm around him in a show of affection.
"Hanta, I love you so much I'll probably electrocute myself too many times and end up being permanently short circuited," Denki laughed, pecking my cheek.
"At least I'll still love you as you go along shouting 'yay'" I laughed, poking Denki's cheek. Denki just laughed again.
"I do not sound like that!" He yelled, an indignant look on his face.
"Yes you do! It's all like, 'yay, yay, yay'" I said, repeating the dumbed down tone. Denki stuck out his tongue at me. I just laughed at him, though, the laughs were filled with love.
Denki grumbled, then pointed to the lady who stood at the countdown.
"Doesn't she look kinda like a toad? It's like princess and the frog reversed!" Denki said. I did a dramatic gasp.
"Denkiiii!! That's so mean!!" I said, whacking his head.
"But it's trueee!!!" Denki whined, acting like a misfit child. "It's not like I said you looked like a toad!" Denki yelled, squishing my face.
"Dwo you tink I lwook like a toad??!!?!?" I shouted through my squished cheeks, sticking my tongue out at him.
"HAHAHAH!! Noo, you just look like an angry shiba or something!!" Denki said, releasing his grasp on me.
"Whatever, shibes are cute." I said, my tone light and amused. Then the countdown started, me and Denki started counting along as we prepared for the new year..
"3..
2...
1!!!!!"
On 1, I turned to Denki and kissed him, my arms around his waist as we heard cheering from downstairs and the live countdown. But to us, there was nothing around. It was only me and Denki, only Denki and me.. it really did feel like the world stopped for minutes, maybe hours, as we kissed. Time didn't seem to be happening until we parted, faces red and eyes set on eachother and nothing else. I smiled, closing my laptop and lying down.
"Happy new year, Denki. I promise I'll do my resolutions." I said, looking at him as he lay down beside me.
"Me too.. I love you." He said, closing his eyes.
"I love you too."
