Imagine #26 (part 2)

Sean furrowed his eyebrows at the seemingly harsh look he earned from Y/n as she walked out the door. With confusion fresh on his face and in his body language he slowly walks towards where Kaycee's room is. "Hey Kayc, did something happen with Y/n?" Sean asked as he came through the door closing the door slightly though not all the way so her parents minds would be at ease. "What? No-uh. Why?" Kaycee asked her body language giving her jumpy attitude away quickly. "Uh, she just left and gave me the dirtiest look. I mean I know we're not best friends but normally she's cool with me. Did I interrupt one of your like best friend things? Like a anniversary? Because I can give you the day, I mean you were supposed to have it anyways." Sean rambled on and Kaycee shook her head. "Uh, no it's fine but can we take the day off still, just to hang out and talk?" Kaycee asked with the intent of talking through her feelings for Y/n, or whatever they were, Kaycee still wasn't sure and she knew speaking about them would make it easier for her to understand.

Y/n walked through the front door to her house and made a direct path to Julian's bedroom, she had wanted to go to her sisters room but Jade wasn't home. She knocked twice on the door and within seconds she heard her brothers voice telling her to come in. "Hey I'll call you back, okay?" Julian asked and Chloe's voice came from the other line on the speaker saying 'okay' and 'goodbye.' "You didn't have to hang up on your girlfriend because of me." You said looking down and wrapping your arms around yourself. "I don't mind and obviously you need someone to talk too, meaning me, your big brother." He chuckled to himself while he softly pulled you into the room and shut the door and allowed you to sit on his bed and he sat beside you. "Alright spill, what happened?" His words made you sigh but you nodded and turned slightly to face him while you spoke.

"Something happened with Kaycee." You said while keeping eye contact with your brother. He was the only one that knew about your feelings for her and he only knew due to a joke that made your feelings clear. "Well..was it good or bad?" Julian asked slowly watching you intently, he wanted to make sure he handled this right. He already knew that you still weren't out and if he said the wrong thing he was afraid it'd make you feel badly. "I'm not sure. We were uh, talking and sitting beside each other, like any other day, but then she started staring at me." You explain and look to your brother waiting for him to nod for you to continue. "And then she looked at my lips. I thought it was a long shot but I leaned it and she did too. We almost...almost kissed." You said looking at your brother and he could tell by your tone how badly you wanted it to happen and how torn you were feeling.

"What do you mean almost? Did something happen?" Julian asked as he kept his eyes on yours. "Kylie came in, she apologized and let her know she had company, when I decided to leave she went to say something but I was so embarrassed that I left without letting her say anything." You said looking down, you let out a breath as you looked at your brother hoping for him to tell you what to do. "Y/n, if she leaned in she wanted the kiss to happen too. I think she likes you, and maybe she got a little embarrassed too and that's why she didn't chase after you but maybe she's confused about everything. Remember how confused you felt the day you realized you liked Kaycee? How strange the feeling was for you? I think the best thing for you to do is go be there for her. Be there to talk it through because you had someone and she needs someone, and who better than you? You're her best friend, and maybe the person she holds close to her heart, either way she's gonna need your support because she can't do this alone." You sighed and smiled after hearing Julian's words and hugged him. He chuckled and smiled when you let go. "Thank you, I needed that."

"You're welcome. Let Kaycee know I'll support her through anything, we all will." You nodded in response to Julian's words and made your way back out the door and back to Kaycee's house hoping she'd still be there and willing to talk to you.

You walk to the Rice family house and hesitate before lightly knocking on the door, some how you already felt guilty for some reason. As if you had betrayed Kaycee and then you were showing up at her door begging for forgiveness, but then all of it eased up when Kylie opened the door then smiled as she ushered you in. "Come in. Come in. Seans still up in Kaycee's room but I'm sure you're more than welcome to join." Kylie says the smile never dropping from her face and you nod slightly growing nervous from the looks of the whole Rice family who were seated in the living room. "Thanks, uh, I'm gonna go to Kaycee's room." You say and nervously walk to her room obviously knowing the way like the back of your hand. You wanted to throw yourself in a ditch, you hadn't even done anything yet and you were already being nervous in a house that was basically your second home. And once again you do something that two days would never come to mind. You knock on her door, her already opened door. "Hey, Kaycee it's me." You say timidly as you walk in and see Kaycee on her bed with her legs crossed while Sean sat on the edge of the bed with his legs hanging off and his torso turned turns Kaycee. "Uh, sorry, I can uh, come back?" You put as a question while looking at Kaycee. You didn't understand why this was becoming so hard for you, you already knew Sean was up here and yet you were becoming nervous.

Kaycee gave Sean a look and he nods. "Nah, it's cool, I was just leaving. See ya Kayc, Y/n/n. I'll see you guys later." Sean smiles as he leaves and he makes sure to pat your shoulder and gave you a reassuring and understanding smile. You silently shut the door after the taller boy exits and then you make your way to the bed and sit with your legs crossed as well your body mirroring Kaycee's. "Kaycee I think we-" You were beginning to speak when Kaycee speaks quickly interrupting your statement. "What happened back there was real right?" You open your mouth to speak but Kaycee speaks again still with great speed in her words. "It was real to me, was it real to you too?" It surprised you that she was handling it all so well, but then again Kaycee always handled things well, overreacting was more of your thing. "Yeah." You nod looking at her blanket then to her beautiful deep brown eyes. "Yeah Kayc, it was real to me too." You say a small smile rising on your lips as the same happens to hers. "So, what does that mean for us?" Kaycee asked with the smile setting right on her life's. "I'd like for us to be together. We can take it slow, we don't have to tell anyone, anything you want, I just want you to be hap-" your words were cut short when Kaycee's lips met yours, you were surprised and but of you were slightly stiff, neither of you had ever kissed anyone and you never took Kaycee for the first move type of girl, after a few seconds you ease up and Kaycee follows, you bring your hand to her cheek your fingers lightly getting tangled into her beautiful curls. You both pull away at the same time and put your foreheads together. Sure the kiss wasn't perfect but too the two of you? It was one of the best things that could happen. "I'm already happy." Kaycee says her smile growing as she brings her hand to hold yours.
