Alex's POV
The train stops and Hagrid gathers all us first year students, Toby and I staying close. "Attention all first year students!"Hagrid says once we are all there "once the higher years clear out you will be taken to the boats, understand?" A flurry of nods then a low hum of conversation rises, well low to everyone else, to me it's loud but that's just my Lycanthropy. After a few minutes all the first years are on boats, me with Toby, holding small talk as we go.

We all finally make it to the school, all gathering at the front of the great hall. I listen to everyone get called and sorted, (after Dumbledore did his first year speech that is) I soon get called up but, before I go I give Remus a look at the teacher table saying "don't be mad" with my eyes before going up. The hat sits on my head "hmm you seem to be very ambitious, and quite cunning, but not much pride..."the sorting hat says "and your from a pure blood family, but they are all gone, you only have Remus Lupin and Sirius Black to be your adopted family, but you are nothing like a Gryffindoor, oh I know what house you are...."it pauses and I hold my breath "SLYTHERIN!"it shouts, I hear a gasp behind me from Remus, Sirius isn't going to like this. I get up and sit at the Slytherin table with all the other first years it's gotten so far. Toby is next to go up and I watch as the hat calls "GRYFFINDOOR!" and she gets up glancing at me and giving a small smile before leaving to her table. There goes my only friend so far.
