It exploded way beyond what anyone had expected. It was the strong storyline which do not only focus on the relationship but also on the friendship and bond between friends and slowly emphasized how their life and relationships grew from this bond. It caught the hearts of all, local and even abroad.

Even their families were swept by the sea, each supporting in their own way and his parents always his stalwart supporters on social media. His dad always tweeting about him proud of his achievements while his mum had always supported both Singto and himself.

They were truly adored by all and with that adoration, heavy scrutiny was placed on every aspect of their life, on every social media posts, on family and friends, on every past and current relationships, on every single miniscule thing. It was no surprise that under all this pressure, some things have to give.

The relationship that he had cultured for several years start breaking down, far too many arguments about everything and nothing, about real and imagined jealousies and about friends they keep, about the paths for their future, about the one person who had stood with him from the start of this journey.

It all came to halt when he came home to see her in the living room with his parents, two united and one apologetic. An ultimatum was issued and rejected. It was sad how they have to end this way between both of them but it's clearer everyday that they have walked too different a path.

A knock on his door drew his attention before a soft voice asked for permission to enter. She came in, standing at the door, looking in at his silhouette as he looked out the balcony into the dark night sky.

"He just had hoped..."
"I am not going to marry just to silence rumours. And not with her"

She nodded, taking the few steps to the lonely figure, enveloping him with the much needed comfort. A long term relationship ending, regardless who ends it and how it ends, it just hurts. It doesn't matter that he is a grown up now but at this moment, all that mattered to her was that her little boy is hurting and confused as he cried in her arms.
