Sakura immediately ran back to Ino, who was waiting for the pinkette down the street at the flower shop.

"Did you do it?" Ino asked the girl, seeing how flushed her face was.

"N-no.." Sakura muttered, embarrassed. She was eighteen years old and still couldn't ask Sasuke Uchiha to get some dango with her.

'Pathetic.' She thought.

"Gosh forehead! What's the worst that could happen? He rejects you and runs off with Pedo-Snake again? I highly doubt that." Ino attempted to encourage her friend.

"I know, but he looked so mad and I panicked and ran back here and-" Sakura began rambling.

"Sakura, Sasgay always looks mad." Ino said, an amused smile playing at her lips.

"It's Sasuke, Ino." Sakura rolled her eyes, yet she was smiling too. "But let's be real here, Sasuke-kun will never like me as more than a teammate." Her smiled turned into a sad one.

"Give yourself some credit, girl! Who wouldn't want to date the girl that surpassed Tsunade Senju? The girl who helped defeat Kaguya! If he says no then he's an idiot, trust me." Ino said, patting Sakura's shoulder.

"Plus," she continued. "You've been saying that you'd do this as your New Years resolution since he's been back! It's took Hinata and Naruto weeks to find a way to get him out of that stupid condo of his, you can't back out now!"

Sakura gave Ino a warm smile, she didn't know what she'd do without her best friend. "Thanks Ino, I swear I'll do it this time!"

And she did.

"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura called out to the dark haired male, who immediately turned her way.

Sasuke's gaze softened once he spotted the pinkette running towards him, it always did.

"Sakura." He greeted.

'Idiot.' He thought. 'What kind of greeting was that? Sakura probably thinks she's annoying you now, good job.'

"Ah, I wanted to know I-if you'd like to get uhm.." she trailed off for a minute, as if she forgot what she was going to say. "Oh! Dango! Would you like to get some dango with me?" She asked.

'ShEs So PuRe LoOk At HeR!' He thought, yet no expression was shown on his face.

"Hn." He said, confusing the girl.

Sakura stared at him for a minute, before her happy expression fell. "It's okay, I understand if you don't wanna go.." she muttered, turning around.

'SHES LEAVING OH MY GOD DO SOMETHING!' The voice in his head yelled.

Without thinking, Sasuke grabbed Sakura's hand and began leading them towards the Coffee Shop, causing Sakura to blush.

The two ended up spending the rest of the day in the coffee shop, until the sun disappeared behind the horizon. Once Sasuke noticed how dark is was, he decided it was time to leave and offered to walk her home.

'I did it!' Sakura thought, grinning as the two walked out of the coffee shop.

News years resolution: complete!
