A Good Day With An Unexpected Ending

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off and went inside the bathroom to go brush my teeth and wash my face. I redid my eyes along with my lips and put my hair in a high ponytail and did my edges. I found a light blue shirt with white pants and light blue pumps. I got my suitcase and put my laptop inside along with all my chargers. I grabbed my phone and purse and headed out the door. I grabbed a taxi cab and got to work. I tipped the cab driver with fifty bucks for being super plenty and helping with my bags.

"Thank you!" He said

"No, problem!" I shouted before I went inside the lobby and stood in line for the cafe bakery. Steven texted me saying that he wanted a black coffee with a sandwich. I got Steven a black coffee with sugar and a sandwich. I got myself a bagel with a vanilla latte. I showed the office manager my badge and she let me in and I got inside the elevators. Once it opened I saw June walking to her desk.

"Hey girl," I said once I got close to her.

"Hey, Rachel how are you?" June asked as she got up and gave me a quick hug.

"Am good, how about you?" I asked

"Am holding up, just finished some work and now I have more work," June said as she gave me a cute frown.

"You are the cutest thing when you frown, but you will get through this and all the work you have. You will get done by the end of the day just don't have any distractions." I say

"Thank you, I really needed that. I am gonna let you go you have some business to attend to." June says before she gave me a hug and sat back down on her desk.

"No, problem. Anytime you need help you got me." I said and June gave me a wink and I walked away unlocking the door to my office. I set the breakfast on my desk and I got my stuff together and set my laptop on the desk. I grabbed Steven's breakfast and I got out of my office and I knocked on the door and didn't hear anything so, he probably wasn't in the office yet so, I opened the door and set his breakfast on his desk just the way he wants it to be.

"Good morning," Steven said out loud making me jump.

"Steven, I thought you weren't here," I said putting my hand on my chest.

"Sorry, I startled you," Steven said as he came closer he had on a white dress shirt with black pants and black dress shoes.

"Startled me? You scared me." I say giving Steven a hug.

"How did you sleep?" Steven asked

"I slept well," I say with a nod.

"You came through with the breakfast, your the best," Steven said before he kissed me.

"Steven, not at work. What if someone sees us together." I say after we broke away from the kiss.

"I know, I just can't help myself when am around you," Steven says with a smirk.

"We will go out later on when the meeting is over how does that sound?" I asked holding Steven by the waist and him doing the same to me.

"Great! But I have some work to do after the meeting and then we can go." Steven said before he gave me a quick kiss.

"I have to go and eat my breakfast. Make sure you do the same." I say as I walked to the door.

"Yes, I will. See you later." Steven sat down in his chair and I closed the door behind me.

I went back to my office, and took a bite of my bagel and opened my laptop. I printed some paperwork that Steven sent me through email that he wanted me to print, it felt like minutes when I was done but I checked the time and it was seven o'clock so, I gathered the paperwork and headed to Sam's office and he was there working on something off his computer.
