Eddie was sitting on his bed, scrolling through Instagram.

God I miss him. Eddie thought, seeing a picture of Richie with another girl.

Eddie and Richie haven't talked since their senior year in high school, before Richie became an actor and became famous.

Eddie clicked on Richie's profile. He looked through some old photos of before high school let out. There was one of him and Richie.

He began to tear up, the memories flooding back. Not just with Richie, even though most were with him, but with the losers, and even the party.

"Eddie Bear." Sonia called from downstairs.

He ran down the stairs to greet his mother. She saw his eyes filled with tears.

Eddie let a tear fall down his cheek.

"What's wrong, baby? Come here." Sonia said, pulling him into a hug. Eddie pushed her off.

"What's the matter with you all of a sudden?" She snapped, grabbing his wrist.

Eddie escaped her grasp. "I'm sorry, I'll explain everything when I get back, I need to pack some things. I'm going away for a while." He said walking out of the room.

"Eddie, what do you mean? What do you have to do, talk to me." She said, somewhat upset.

He kept walking up the stairs, ignoring the whines from Sonia.

Eddie closed the door, locking it behind him. He went over to his closet and grabbed some clothes, then picked up his suitcase from under the bed putting the clothes in.

Maybe he'll want to see me. Eddie thought. Maybe I should tell him I'm dropping by. No, I'll suprise him. But what if he's with a girl?

He looked at himself in the mirror, splashing water onto his face.

It's okay, your fine. No anxiety. He took a puff of his inhaler, and closed the door. Sonia stood in the bedroom doorway.

Eddie jumped at her presents. "What are you doing, Edward?" He cringed at the name, just as Richie cringed at Richard.

"J-just going to see s-some-someone." He stuttered, throat feeling dry.

"Who?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

He hesitated, he wanted to say Richie but she'd get pissed real quick and would stop him from going.

"Just an old friend." He finally managed to say.

"Not that Tozier kid, right sweetie?" She said, leaning closer to him.

He backed up. "Yeah, just an old friend, Ma."

She walked out. He shut the door.

Didn't I lock it last time? He thought, realizing his door stopped locking since he was 13.

Eddie was almost 20, next month he will be, Richie was 20.

He thought for a moment. Why doesn't this lock anymore? Then he realized.

He went back to packing, looking at his phone, going back to Richie's profile.

I'll see you soon. He whispered.

Eddie knew where Richie had been staying, and he was about to drive the hours to there.
