He locked the suitcase and shoved his phone in his pocket, then headed downstairs.

Sonia was sitting in the living room, waiting for an explanation from Eddie.

"Well...?" She finally said, breaking the silence.

He looked over at her, wanting to run out the doors to never see her again.

Just ignore her. Eddie thought, walking into the kitchen.

She jumped from her chair, running over to him. Sonia put her hands on Eddie's shoulders.

"Get off me." Eddie snapped at her.

She jumped at him raising his voice.

"Inside voices Eddie Bear, now, tell me what the hell is going on."

He looked for the words to say, not the truth.

"See Bill is having a hard time right now, and he texted me saying if I could visit him. I told him I would, he's in Maryland right now. So I'm going to help him."

She looked shocked, knowing how I 'used' to feel about Richie.

"Oh." She managed to say. "Are... you sure?"

"Yes, Ma." Eddie said, turning around grabbing some drinks.

"How long will you be gone?" Sonia asked. Eddie had to think for a moment. Whether or not he was going to stay a while or just to drop in.

"I'm not sure, but when I get there I'll decide and call you." He promised. Sonia was surprised that none of this was with Richie.

It's a good thing I didn't tell her holy-

"Here's your keys." Sonia said, handing him the keys to his car.

Eddie looked surprised, he looked up at her. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am." She reassured. "Even though I'm going to regret it." Sonia kissed his head, then hugged him.

He put the food and drinks in his bag and went to the door.

"I love you mom, I'll call you when I get there." He said, looking at the time on his phone that read 12:43.

"Okay, I love you too. Be safe and let me talk to Bill when you get there."

His heart dropped. Eddie thought of something else to say.

"Do you honestly think I'd lie to you?"

She looked so sincere. "Fine, bye sweetheart."

He quickly turned back around, turning the door knob. Eddie felt the breeze against his face, the sun beaming on his gray shirt.

Eddie walked to the car, he sat down and closed the door. He pulled out his phone again.

He opened to his messages, out of nowhere Richie texted. Eddie raised a brow.

Richie: Hey Eds.

Eddie: Don't call me that, what do you want?

Richie is typing....

Eddie sat in silence for about a minute or two. Then his phone vibrated. He looked at his phone.

Richie: Are you busy by any chance??

He read the text a few times. Then a call popped up from Richie. His eyes widened, trying to breathe. He clicked the green button, putting the phone to his ear.

"H-hello?" Eddie said nervous, not talking to Richie for 2 years.

"Heyo! Sorry I haven't talked to you in such a long time, I've been busy." Richie said. Something was wrong.

"It's fine, what's up?" He asked.

There was a pause.

"Richie? You need to tell me."

"W-well, first before I tell you. Are y-you busy?" He stuttered.

Richie never stutters unless something bad is happening.

Eddie knew he couldn't lie to Richie.

"Listen, I was actually coming down to see you. I've just missed you so much and I saw a picture of you and my heart fell out of my chest." He paused. "I told my mom I was going to Bills so she'd actually let me go."

"Wow she let you go that's... rare." Richie said with a chuckle.

"It's a good thing your coming down here Eds."

Eddie stopped.

"It, it is?" He said shocked, confused about the words Richie just said.

"Just get down here, I'll tell you everything then." Richie said.

Then Eddie heard words come from Richie that almost made him cry.

"I've missed you, Eds."

The call ended.

That's when Eddie started to have those feelings for Richie again, back when they were younger. The feelings Sonia was worried about, why she hates Richie. Why Eddie went away for five months to an asylum.

He didn't wait another second to start the car and get going.
