Richie got out of the shower and dried himself off, water falling down his soft skin.

Should I call him? Richie asked himself. No, no, he's driving right now... hopefully.

He wrapped the towel himself and walked out, the cold breeze from the air conditioner hit his semi-wet skin. He felt a chill run up his spine.

Richie got dressed and went in the back yard. Then he sat on the swing, looking at old pictures of the losers and the party when they were younger.

|Flash back|

*Incoming call from Eddie*

"Hey Eds." Richie said.

"Don't call me that good lord, anyways, do you wanna go to the quarry w-with me..?" Eddie asked shyly.

"Sure, what time?"

"I don't care, it's a little after 3 right now..... umm... maybe at 3:45?"

"Yeah, I'll get ready then, Spaghetto man." Richie chuckled.

"Those dumb nicknames never get old, do they?"

"Nah, they obviously don't." Richie said, then hung up.

Richie walked upstairs to his room, his mom walking past him in the hall.

"What are you doing, Rich?" His mother asked.

"I was gonna hang out with Eds at the quarry in a bit, is that okay..?"

She hesitated.

"Is everything okay, mom?" Richie said, putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Rich, if you like him at 14 it's okay." She blurted out. His eyes grew big.

Richie did like Eddie, a lot, and he didn't want to lie to his mom. She was luckily supportive for gay rights.

"Y-yeah, is it okay for a 14 year old boy to like another..?"

"To many, probably not. But I won't judge you or let anyone else judge you, sweetie. I promise." She said pulling Richie into a hug.

He began to tear up, knowing Eddie's mom, Sonia, wouldn't be supportive.

Richie started to sniffle, she pulled away.

"What's wrong?" She asked panicked.

"Sonia won't let us be together." He let a tear fall down his cheek.

"Who said she has to know? Just when your together come over here, I'll let you two stay anytime you want." She reassured.

"Y-you sure?" He asked. She nodded and smiled.

"Go and get ready, okay? And remember if you need to talk to me about anything, I swear I'll be supportive."

Hearing those words was heaven to Richie, he knew many kids' parents weren't like this.

"Mom, I never told anyone else this, but since your supportive and my mother I think you should know." Richie said nervously.
