Willow's POV
Everything about the castle and the grounds is breathtaking. The original moat which once surrounded the castle is long since gone, but the drawbridge still stands. It now serves as a pathway, somehow magical in nature. On one end you're part of the world as we know it, but once you cross the bridge, you're part of a real-life fairytale. Never in a million years would I have believed I'd be walking the grounds of a real castle preparing to marry a man who truly loves me, and not just the idea having someone to use, abuse, and taken advantage of.
There's something extraordinary about the connection between Harry and I. We've both taught one another that we deserve much more than the lives we were living. We've gained confidence and given ourselves the chance to do things we never thought we could do.
It's strange how our two souls were fairly adrift, yet we found one another and became strong enough to lead the other along through some dark times. We keep each other afloat and that's something hard to come by. Without a doubt I know I deserve this life, it's my time and I'm grateful for every last breath I'm given.
I'm stuck in a whirlwind of emotions, all of which are unfamiliar, yet wonderful. Knowing there's a world of possibilities awaiting our family is priceless. I've spent too many years just existing; I don't want to live that life anymore. The beauty of it all these revelations, is that I know I don't have to.
My soul is simply smiling, and my heart is full of unadulterated joy. I can feel every last detail surrounding me; the sun kissing my skin, the tender hold of his hand, the gentle breeze caressing my face, the soft ground beneath my feet, and the smell of freshly cut grass. Everything is perfect.
I'm in awe of my surroundings; I want to touch every stone and smell the fragrance of each flower. Wild ivy climbing the castle walls; oak, pine, and laurel trees surrounding the courtyard where we plan to celebrate our marriage. A variety of roses perfume the air around us.
It's difficult to wrap my head around the knowledge this structure has been standing in its place since the 1100's. Buildings built during the last century could never withstand time the way this one has, it's incredible. Every stone laid upon the other with care, the strength of these walls is unbreakable. I hope that it's a symbol of how enduring our marriage will be as well. I find it fascinating that all this work was done by hand. I guess this shows you that all the long lasting, unbreakable bonds are forged with hard work, time, and care.
Harry holds my hand squeezing, one, two, three. Never letting go, following my pace as I walk lazily so I can appreciate everything I see. He really hit a home run on his choice of wedding venues, this man is unbelievable.
"This is it my love. We're getting married here. No question about it, you've made the perfect choice."
Harry wraps his arms around my waist lifting me up, quickly spinning me around. His beautiful heart shaped lips land on mine as he slowly lowers my feet on the feathery green grass. He sways our bodies together in a slow dance, and gazes longingly into my eyes.
"I'm so happy that you're in love with this place as much as I am. This is going to be beautiful; I can't wait."
"Me too, if we had everyone here, I'd marry you right now."
He grins passionately showing me those dimples I dearly love. Then he glances over his shoulder to see what his mother's reaction is.
"So, what do you think Mum?"
"It's magnificent. I had no idea my son was such a romantic. I'm so proud of you."
She kisses Harry's cheek; and looks positively delighted. He blushes and shakes and his head while leading us inside the castle. It's just as splendid as the outside.
