Chapter 9

Naruto's pov

Its been two months of D rank missions! I don't think Kakashi or anyone else notices when I run into stuff or when I get turned around. Mostly because of my idiot, clumsy face aid. As much as I get hurt though I always heal quick, and i'm thankful for that because Doctor's scare me, and medical nins. I shook just from the thought. We also have really OK chakra control now. Also I can read the average chunins, high genin chakra signal; also sakura and Sasuke because , ive figured out how their chakra feels. I learned that if I send little bits of chakra out it helps me avoid walls. Not trees though... unfortunatly. I told JiJI about my skill and, he said that thats already a thing so, yeah. I hear my alarm go off. "Welp time to go to training." I say putting on my face aid.

(okay lets get this freaking story going finally)

Mission: Capture Tora

"Naruto position something, over."

" Okay then.. three, two, one. NOW!"

I jumped into the opening along with Sakura and Sasuke; Sakura catching the overreacting Tora. "Ow, stupid cat scratched me. Take her Naruto!" Sakura yelled throwing the cat towards me. Tora jumped on me and curled up into a ball before she went bizerk again and started scratching me. "Let's just hurry before I skin the cat alive!" I said putting a evil look on my face. Acually I wouldnt mind doing that...

HOKAGE'S OFFICE

I run into the office with the at still clawing me. "TORA POOR BABY!" Poor my ass. "Okay team seven. We have babysitting, some farmers need help on the border of Konaha plowing their field, and there is trash pick up." I could feel the room temperature turn cold. "Hokage-sama how about a simple C rank. My little genin could handle something like that. Don't you agree?" I heard Kakashi sensei ask. What if I run into something since I'm not very good at chakra location yet. What if I ruin the mission. What if one of my team mates gets hurt from me. What if...

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "You good dobe?" Sasuke Asked me. I didn't realize that I had a look of nervousness. I slid my mask on faster than I should have been able to. "Of course teme! I was just thinking about what ramen I'll eat. I was thinking miso but, I ate that yesterday although..." I started. "Okay we get it Naruto." Sakura told me. I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly.

"Well as I was saying they are to inexperienced to go on a c rank mission." Iruka sensei Said. I didn't even realize he was here. "Hmm... only if all of you agree. Maybe bring Asuma's team with you." Jiji said. I heard Sasuke and Sakura agree. I felt eyes on me. "Well, are you sure we could do a c rank?" I laughed. "See! Even Naruto is skeptical!" Iruka said trying to prove his point. "I'll protect you dobe if your scared of a simple C rank." Sasuke Said. I could feel his ego radiating off of him. "I wasn't saying that at all teme! Fine I agree!" I yelled crossing my arms. "Are you sure Naruto?" Asked Jiji. "Of course I'm Naruto Uzumaki after all! Dattebayo!" I yelled. Oh boy what did I get myself into?

"Okay then bring me Asuma and his genin squad and bring in Tazuna." The Hokage stated to a Anbu. "Great I have to work with Ino pig?" Sakura stated angrily.

"Ehh, Sakura-Chan~, it won't be to bad. You will be with me after all." I smiled towards her. "Yeah that's a big reinsurance." She said sarcastically. "These are the ninja that will be protecting me? They look like that haven't even left their mommy's sides." Tazuna said as he laughed.

3rd POV

Naruto and Sasuke both looked down. "Ehh, Tazuna-san that's a bit of a sensitive topic." The Hokage said to the drunken bridge builder. Still not getting why it is a bad topic, from the influence from the strong sake. "Why!? The blonde one looks more stupid than the other ones. He is even wearing orange! What kind of ninja wears orange?" There was a awkward silence as Naruto had a look of confusion on his face. "Wait, what?" The blonde asked. You see once he realized the drunk was talking about him. He was not very happy he believed he was wearing a dark blue like he ordered.

By this time asuma's team had arrived. "More ametures!? these three was enough!" The builder yelled. "I can re-insure you that we are both Jounin and, we are more than capable to defend you from bandits." Hatake Kakashi stated. "What a drag." The Nara stated looking at team seven. He spotted a very hurt/confused Naruto touching his sleeves. Naruto still wasn't over the fact that he was wearing such a bright color, and yet ANBU couldn't find a blind boy. He suddenly felt proud. "Anyway's everyone needs to pack for at least two weeks. Meet us at the gate in two hours."

"Hai." The genin all said turning to leave. The sound of two kunoshi's could be heard arguing down the hall.

Time skip...Naruto POV

"What the hell was I thinking?" I whispered to myself. it was hard enough to hide my blindness from Shikamaru in the academy. What if I can't find something right in front of my face!? My team just pushes it off as stupidity but, i'm sure that Asuma or Shikamaru might notice. "Hey, Kakashi. Is there ninja in the land of waves?" I heard Sakura ask after the past hour of nothing but, Choji's munching. Then Kakashi and Asuma went into a long speech of how small towns go to neighboring ninja villages for help.

I feel a source of chakraradiating on the ground and step around it. "Ehh, this area has a lot of chakra Kakashi. I don't thin- AHH" I felt it spike as I jumped back. "The demon Brothers." Asuma states. I stand still as I calm my nerves to focuse in on the unfamiliar chakra. it went left right and... gahh towards me! "Gahh!" I jump as I hear chain. "KAKASHI-Sensei! ASUMA-SENSEI!" Ino and Sakura yell as I run to Tazuna. "Hey, we have to protect the client!" I yell. I don't know why they yelled Kakashi and Asuma's name. Their chakra signature is strong. "Right!" I felt Ino and Sakura come next to me as I listened carefully for any sudden sounds.

"Shadow possesion Jutsu!" Shikamaru yelled. There was clanging and then I heard a zip in the air. I used my kunia to deflect a oncoming chain but, it still cut my hand. Crap it must have razors blade's on it. "Okay thats enough."I heard Kakashi say as I watched the chakra move towards the enemies. Then it was quiet. "Kakahi sensei! Asuma sensei!" Sakura and Ino yelled. "Good job you guy's. You all held your ground." Asuma stated. "Especially you Naruto. Your determination towards the clients safety was one of a ninja's. Same goes to all of you." I heard Kakashi say. I smiled. I hope we don't have to fight anymore ninja.

"Well Tazuna, I realized that the ninja are after you. Not just after us Konah nin. Explain or we will have to cut the mission off early. Especially since we have a wounded comrade." It was deadly silent after Kakashi said that. "I... I'm sorry we just, didn't have enough funds for a higher rank. I understand if you want to leave. If you do though there is no doubt that I will be killed and then my daughter and grandson will hate you. Might even hold a grudge against Konaha." Tazuna kept mumbling about how sad his grandson would be.

"I say we stay!" I yelled. This guy obviously needs help. Even I can see it. "Naruto your injured." Asuma told me. "What this, it's just a scratch." I gestured to my hand. Acually I think it's a small cut. Stings though. "The weapons the demon brothers use is laced with poison." Kakashi said in a monotone voice. "Dobe just listen to him." Sasuke interviened. "Shut up teme! Besides I'm immune to all poisons." I stated turning my back to them. "How?" Shikamaru asked. "It's a blood line I guess you could say." I Said starting to feel uncomfortable. The true reason was because I was poisoned a lot as a child. Some how I've became immune.

"Wow, I didn't know there was a blood line like that." Sakura said. "YUP, and NARUTO UZUMAKI HAS IT! Dattebayo! I will protect Tazuna with or without you guys. So, there is no point in stopping me." I started going in a random direction. "Fine, this is so troublesome. I'm staying to. Besides you have no sense of direction.  Shikamaru Said as he went up to me and turned me around. "If Shikamaru is staying I'm staying." Chinju was munching on something. Slowly everyone just agreed to finish the mission.
