3. cal on the mind

A/N: I am just noticing how much I like the word nimrod? Weird.

*next day*

-SI'S POV-

I woke up on the couch in my apartment not understanding how got there and I looked around me to see 4 nimrods. Tobi who was laying on the floor, jj who was on the couch with me. And last but not least Josh and vik were in a pillow fort. All passed out of course. Rubbing my eyes, I look up to see Netflix on the TV making everything come together in my head.

 I got up and went to my room noticing all the things that should be on my bed were gone. I sighed to myself as I grabbed a towel and went to my bathroom. I jumped in the shower brushing my teeth as well (DON'T JUDGE ME IT'S CONVENIENT!). I thought to my self about the shop and other work related things. And some how I was drifted into thought and all I could think of was him...

 As I small smile showed up on my face and my cheeks began to get red I was knocked out of thought by a shadow behind my shower curtain. It was suspicious and seemed to be holding something. Out of fear I opened up the curtain slightly to see a smiling tobi? I looked at him confusedly. "what are you doing" I asked trying to understand why he's in here??? " I woke up not to long ago and I have early shifts like you. oh! and I also wanted to brush my teeth and found a spare tooth brush". " okay? Can you at least pass me my towel" I asked looking at him weirdly. Shrugging it off, he passed me my towel and I turned of the shower covering myself with the towel.

Confused on what just happened I got out and went to my room to get dressed. It wasn't anything special it was just my uniform for work. It was a jumper with xix on it and some black jeans and my Nike trainers. I walked out of my room to find two of the nimrods that were in a fort stumbling around in my kitchen. "Good morning" I said loudly to annoy them. They wined over the sudden noise and moaned, vik grunting a good morning which was hard to understand. I grabbed a snack bar from the kitchen waiting for tobi. Knowing that jj,vik and josh work slightly later then us. As tobi walked out I threw a snack bar at him. Out of shock he moved out the way and it flew at the wall. "That's for scaring me in the shower" I scoffed and Josh and vik just laughed at tobi's scared reaction. "What ever man let's go" he moaned grabbing the snack bar and walking out the door swinging his keys around. I followed and laughed at hi annoyed state. 

*time jump to the shop* 

Tobi was in the back minding his own, and I grabbed my apron feeling something in my pocket. I pull it out and read the same words as before. 

"Cute barista"

Blushing over the dumb words I lean against the counter reading over it again with a smile. As I slip into deep thought I think about how to respond to the note and if I will even see him today. I sigh hoping I will to look up to see a smiling tobi.

 "What are ya pondering about?" He asked quickly Blushing  and hiding the note"nothing" I mumbled. " it's obvious that you're trying to hide something you know. Is it the note from before?!" Yelled, my face getting redder every time hear the word note. I have no excuses to get me out of this. "yes" I said coming out more quite then I expected. His face lit up by the thought. I look at him confusedly going to ask why he's so happy to only be cut of by "WE NEED A SHIP NAME". my face is now a tomato and look at him in shock. Not realising the note was gone from my hand. "Callum, huh? How about calimon?" He asked. I sighed shaking my head. "Minifreezy! Perfect" he shouted walking into the kitchen. I was confused on how he came up with the  stupid ship name. I turned around and rested against the counter trying to calm down from the situation that just happened. It's such a slow 

I was distracted by memes on my phone as time went by. While I was scrolling through my phone I heard a bell ring.  Out of shock I jumped up to see cal? "A hot chocolate and a cookie" I blushed at the thought of him talking to me and turned around fast nodding. I looked back slightly to see him sitting in the same spot as he normally does with his laptop and headphones on. I finished the hot chocolate and grabbed a cookie from the stand. Thinking about the note I pulled out the marker we were meant to use on drinks to go and write a message. 

Dear cal, 

Thanks for the cute note and my names Simon but my friends call me si if you were wondering. I'm happy you like to come to our small and quiet shop. :)

I put the note on the plate with the cookie and write cute coffee shop boy. I took the drink and plate the cute guy and put on the table making sure it made a thud. Out of shock he took of his head phones and looked up at me with smiles. "That's for scaring me at the counter" I muttered and smiled back". "You scare me every time I come here its only fair" he said with a grin. I blushed and walked away standing behind the counter. soon enough all the guys were here serving the few costumers that came. although i had things to do i would end up staring at cal with out thinking. i don't think cal noticed me doing it but i know for a fact the guys spotted me. i watched him pick up my  note and read it my face getting redder as i watched him smile and chuckle at my dumb note . quickly turning around as soon as he looked at me. i then heard the door open."see ya si" i heard from behind me, i span around and quickly waved back as he left. i sighed and felt arms nudge me and a voice chant"minifreezy, minifreezy!". i hurried and collect the dirty dishes as i know I've blushed more than ever in the spam of a day and i know it will happen again if i stayed in the huddle of nimrods chanting "minifreezy". that's when i saw a piece of scrap paper.

and on the back it wrote,

i'm kinda of realising that this is kind of a weird way of talking to each other so i thought i'ed give you my number, text me "minifreezy" so i know its you. and yes i did hear your friends chant it i'm guessing its a ship name makes the most sense.

and yet again my face is now red . i put the note in my pocket and went to the kitchen to clean the dishes. mine and tobi's shift were going to end soon anyway so i just went to the back to wait for the shift to end. so i can to talk to him again.

A/N: chapter three is finished! this took so long to complete as the inspiration wasn't there but its done and hopefully you enjoy it. (any one who gets the reference in this chapter will be in the next chapter!)
