Kaycee's POV

Sean was making food in the kitchen and I was sitting on the couch working on some new designs for weirdo apparel. It was 2:57. I was so nervous, but I didn't show it much. The sound of my phone chiming threw me out of my thoughts. I lifted up my phone, and as I expected, It was a text from Gabe.

"You have 3 minutes." The text said.

I felt a rush of nervousness come over me, but I ignored it. He doesn't even know where I am. Right?

It was 2:59. You're gonna be ok, Kaycee, I thought to myself.

3:00 o'clock. My phone chimed again. Gabe texted me. "You asked for it. I'm going to find you." The text said. I felt tears sting in my eyes, but I held them back. I'm not letting him win. I thought to myself. That's when I remembered. It's Thursday. Gabe teaches at Millennium  on Thursday's at 5:00.

"Hey Sean?" I said. "Yeah?" he said back, looking over at me. "Do you wanna go to a class at Millennium tonight?" I said. "Yeah! Who's class is it?" he asked me. "You'll see." I said. He gave me a questioning look, but I knew if I told him he wouldn't let me go.

Sean's POV

It was 4:45, and Kaycee and I were on our way to class. She didn't tell me who's class it was, which I thought was odd, but I ignored it.

We pulled into the parking lot and headed into the building. I took Kaycee's hand, and traced small circles around it. She was really quiet on the way here, which worried me.

We walked into the classroom, and that's when I realized, this was Gabe's class. "Kaycee." I said in a low voice. "What the hell are you thinking?" I asked her. "Sean, it's ok. I know what I'm doing." She said, looking at me. She let go of my hand and walked over to Gabe, who was standing at the stereo hooking his phone up to it. I could not believe she was doing this.

Kaycee's POV

I walked up to Gabe, and tapped on his shoulder. He turned around, and when he saw me standing in front of him, his expression dropped. "Oh Kaycee, it's a little to late now." He told me. "I didn't come back for you." I said. "Then what did you come for?" He said angrily.

"To tell you that you are a horrible person. Fuck you, Gabe. You don't deserve anything. You don't deserve to be this successful. You hurt people. You hurt me, physically and emotionally. You don't deserve the people you have in your life. But most of all, you don't deserve me. I would have done anything for you, but you never cared about me. Don't talk to me again." I said.

"Excuse me?" He said to me.

"You heard what I said." I said sassily.

"You don't get to talk to me like that, sweetheart." He said to me.

I saw Sean in the mirror, looking over at us worryingly. He's gonna be so mad at me, I thought to myself. I grabbed Gabe's arm and flipped him over, causing him to land on his back. "Don't call me sweetheart." I said angrily. I turned around and walked out of the room, people staring at me. I got as far as the parking lot before I felt a familiar hand grab my wrist, stopping me.

I turned around, facing the person I expected it to be, Sean. "Kaycee. Catlin. Rice." He said angrily. "What the hell were you thinking." He said.

"Why does it matter Sean? Look I'm sorry, but I wasn't just going to let him win." I said.

"It doesn't matter who won Kaycee, what matters is your safety, he could have seriously hurt you." He said, calming down.

"I wouldn't have let that happen." I said.

He just stared at me. It seemed like he was figuring out what to do. I didn't care what he thought. I was proud of myself, and I hadn't felt that way in a while.

"Sean you don't own me. I don't have to check in with you before I make a decision." I said angrily.

"I know Kaycee. I just don't know what I would do if something happened to you. You are so important to me Kayc. I think you just did that because you don't care about anything anymore. But you should." He said, now without anger, but sadness.

He wasn't wrong. That's exactly why I did it. I looked away from him, and directed my eyes to the pavement. He walked closer to me, and lightly lifted my chin up. He stared deeply into my eyes. "I'm sorry Sean." I said softly. He didn't say anything, he just hugged me, my head on his chest and his head on mine.

"I love you. I really do." He told me.

"Really?" I said. I always had a hard time believing people when they told me that.

"Always." He said. He took my hand and we walked back to the car. I stopped in front of it. "What's wrong?" Sean asked.

"Are you dissapointed in me?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Hell no. I'm not necessarily proud of the decision, but you are the strongest person I know, Kayc. Physically and emotionally." He said and we both laughed. He smiled at me and then opened the passengers seat door.

I really do love him.
