Eva and Elias

Evangeline looked over at Chloe and gave her a half smile. "He does live to groan about it. Truth is he needs to be looked after occasionally. Like a mischievous dog." With that she patted Lucifer on the head in a demeaning manner. The look on his face almost made Chloe laugh, and as it was she couldn't hold back a smile.
"It's nice to see someone put him in his place", she commented.
"She's a menace", Lucifer complained.
"You love me", Evangeline responded with a grin.
He smiled back.
Chloe had never seen anyone interact with Lucifer the way this woman did. But where was the blonde boy? As if to answer the question Lucifer suddenly spoke sharply, "Eva, where is Elias? Is he okay?"
"Eli's fine Lucifer. Don't freak out, he's just taking a little time to recover from last night", with this Eva winked at him, and then glanced at Chloe as if to judge how she was affected.
"How is your detective doing in regards to our...arrangement? She seemed
a bit shocked last night."
So they had seen her! They just hadn't responded. Strange.
Lucifer opened his mouth to speak but Chloe cut him off. "She's coping. This is all very new."
"I understand", Eva said nodding. "I was new to this once as well." At this comment Lucifer scoffed.
"When were you new to this? You were practically born into it."
Eva smiled, "yes but that doesn't mean I didn't have a lot to learn. I still do."
"You guys know I don't understand half of what you're referring to right?", Chloe asked. No one answered because just then a tousled boy with pale hair slipped into the room, covered by little more than one of Lucifer's long dress shirts. "Eli!", exclaimed Eva, walking over to him and kissing him on the lips, then taking him in her arms. She walked him over to Lucifer, and Chloe bemusedly watched as the boy crawled into her partner's lap.
"Elias, good morning darling", Lucifer crooned placing a kiss on the blonde head in front of him.
Chloe took a moment to observe the young man cuddling Lucifer like a small child. His face was also angular, and very feminine. His eyes were a slate gray color, and he seemed wary of her, but he met her gaze with certainty, and some defiance.
"It's good to meet you Elias", Chloe said gently.
"And you as well Chloe Decker", Elias responded carefully. His voice was high and clear.
"So detective now that you've met my family of sorts, what do you think?", Lucifer questioned.
"Put me on the spot, why don't you", Chloe said. He remained silent so she sighed and looked at them.
"It's clear that Elias refers to Lucifer on a basis of respect, while he simply allows Eva to take control because he knows she cares about him. Eva isn't actually all that respectful of you Lucifer which I don't understand considering what you told me about your relationship. The three of you are like...nothing I've seen before." When she finished speaking, Elias looked thoughtful, Eva looked delighted, and Lucifer looked playfully annoyed.
"I suppose that's somewhat accurate", Lucifer decreed dramatically.
"Be serious Luci", Eva chided. She then addressed Chloe with a sort of pained look on her face. "It's important that you understand this; our relationship dynamics are different than our dynamics in the bedroom. If Elias chooses to defer to Lucifer in casual interaction that is a result of his personality and mood, not of our sexual power dynamic."
"Well said, darling", Lucifer commended.
"I like the way she explains it better", said Chloe, watching the devil feign being hurt by her words. Then a cell phone rang. Lucifer stood up, carefully setting Elias down on an arm chair next to them.
"Lucifer. Yes. Alright alright don't get your panties in a twist I'll be right over"
"That was Maze. I'm gonna have to step out for a bit and take care of something. Will you two stay here and answer the detective's questions? I think she might be a bit more curious than she's letting on."
Eva slapped Lucifer on the ass as he walked by her and he jumped a bit. She laughed. "We're happy to do that, right Eli?" The boy nodded and curled his fingers, motioning for the other two to join him in the sitting area.
"Goodbye then!", called Lucifer as the elevator doors closed.
Chloe sighed and sat on the couch, looking over at the two beautiful figures across from her.
What had she gotten herself into now?
