Angelic Matters

Back at the penthouse Lucifer began to explain as he laid Elias down on his bed.
"Ammenadiel is an archangel and so was I. Seraphim are on a different level. Their gifts aren't physical or offensive but mentally and emotionally driven. Elias can share his mind with anyone, pull people into his body. It's an intimate gift". Lucifer looked down at the boy with a slightly sad expression. "Well that explains a lot", Chloe said. "Is there any way to keep, um, keep me out of his head?"
"He would never force you to be in his head. If you were in there, you wanted to be".
Chloe swallowed harshly, and nodded. The devil continued, "Evangeline is an succubus, meaning her very existence is seduction. She can have anyone she wants, even you detective", he said grinning. "You've probably already noticed".
Chloe swallowed again. "I may have noticed. I'm not really into women but...something about her..."
"She is literally irresistible when she wants to be", Lucifer explained. "As it is humans will feel an extreme attraction to her. It can actually be rather inconvenient when we go out. But the point is that Elias is angelic and Eva is demonic, so they each have their own unique attributes." Chloe nodded.
"So do we know what might have happened will Elias?"
Lucifer looked frustrated. "Not yet but I'm going to talk to Amenadiel. He's better versed in angelic matters than I. I'll be back soon", he said sweeping out of the room.
Eva sat down on the bed next to Elias brushing back his hair and wiping sweat from him with a cloth. Chloe sat down on the other side trying to offer some comfort. She didn't really know either of them that well. "He really does look the part of an angel", she said. "If you two are from different places how did you meet?"
Eva laughed, "oh we hated each other at first. We were both some of the most powerful of our brethren and were ostracized because of it, so we made our way down to earth against the will of our kind. Lucifer found us eventually and welcomed us into his home. These days we live in the suburbs of LA, and come to visit him every other weekend."
Chloe nodded in understanding. "What a stroke of luck that you all found each other", she remarked.
Eva smiled, "Celestial beings are drawn to each other. Whether we like it or not."

After a little while Eva picked up Elias (with remarkable strength for her small stature) and moved him to a large fluffy bed, tucking him in with care as if he were a child. Chloe watched her smooth the covers with a worried expression. "I'll come in and check on him every once in a while. We can wait at the bar for Lucifer to return with Amenadiel.
