"i'll break my alarm one day," i said, my voice muffled by the covers.
i slowly got up, turning my alarm off, gathering clothes and heading to the bathroom for a shower.
i quickly dressed, and checked my phone, seeing i had six missed texts from hoseok, and three from namjoon.
hope🌅: hey, i'm sorry about what i asked you on the phone yesterday, you don't have to respond
hope🌅: i just felt i had to confess sooner or later
hope🌅: i mean, we've known each other since we were both like ten
hope🌅: i mean, i can see why you most likely won't respond, i'm not a likable person
hope🌅: i'm not talented, i'm not attractive, i'm worthless (a/n: it hurt to write that :( )
hope🌅: please just reply, i'm gonna throw up from nervousness

joonie: hey, have you replied to hoseok yet?
joonie: he's a mess, he hasn't left his room at all today, he hasn't even come to practice at all today, i'm the only one who's been able to get into his room
joonie: please cl, for me, and especially for hoseok, please respond to him
cl: ok joonie, i will, but later, i promise. i have a very special interview in a little, and i need to hurry, please tell hoseok oppa that
joonie: i will make sure he knows, good luck, we love you
cl: love you guys too

i arrived at buzzfeed, and was lead straight to a filming room.
"ok, so, you are going to be reading fan questions, and playing with puppies. any questions?" a staff member asked me.
"nope," i simply said.
a director counted down from three, signaling for me to start.
"1,2,3. annyeonghaseyo, i'm your hope, i'm your angel, i'm not jhope. this is cl and i'm gonna be answering some fan questions- puppy!" i exclaimed, seeing two small puppies come onto the mat on which i was seated, one midnight black, the other a beautiful reddish-brown.
"ok, first question is: what inspires you to make music? well, i think i just want to make a statement, a difference. there aren't that many female rappers in korea, let alone the world, so i just try to basically write female anthems" i said, bouncing one of the puppies like you would a human baby.
"next question is, who is your celebrity crush? oh man, i feel like this is a hard question. i would switch around a lot, but this i know for sure. my american celebrity crush is definitely bebe rexha, and my korean celebrity crush is our sunshine, jhope, oh puppy, you wanna answer the next question? ok. when did you realize you wanted to become an idol, what is your story?"
"well, i first auditioned at yg, made it as a trainee, then right before i was supposed to debut with a girl group, yg weirdly decided to not debut us, saying we weren't talented enough. i had heard about bighit before, so one day i took a walk, and ended at the bighit building. i auditioned with a cover of boy meets evil, dance, rap and the bit of vocals in all. it was actually seeing bts perform boy in luv that made me want to audition at an entertainment company."
the rest of the interview went well, and soon enough i was on my way back to my hotel for a few hours of rest until the photoshoot later on in the day. well, the first part of the photoshoot, it was a three-day shoot.
"rest up, then i'll call you to come down so we can leave. goodbye" my manager said, going to his own room.
i nervously paced my room for a bit, finally deciding to call hoseok, to tell him my answer.
i picked up my phone and dialed his number.
hope🌅: he-hello?
cl♥: hey hobi, i wanted to call you to tell you something
hope🌅: oh, what is it?
cl♥: umm, it's about what you asked me yesterday before i got on the plane....
hope🌅: go on
cl♥: first of all, i'm truely, very sorry for making you wait, for causing you all this stress
hope🌅: it's fine, i'm used to it. i was constantly stressed when i was a trainee, i can deal with immense amounts of stress
cl♥: well, i wanted to say that i would very much like to go on a date with you when i get back. just a date, and we'll see where it goes from there
hope🌅: you're not lying to me are you?
cl♥: no! i would never do that! you're an amazing, talented, kind, funny person, and i love to be around you, i would never lie to you
hope🌅: well, that's reassuring. i'll try and think of things we can do while you're gone, ok?
cl♥: ok, please don't over-work yourself, i care about you hob
hope🌅: i won't, i promise, jagi
cl♥: i gotta rest for a bit hope, i have the first part of the photoshoot in a bit
hope🌅: ah, good luck, what is it for again? i promise i won't tell anyone
cl♥: ok, even though i'm not supposed to tell anyone, it's for vogue korea
hope🌅: what?! well, i don't want to stop you from resting
cl♥: thanks, i gotta go, love you hope
hope🌅: love you too, bye

i laid my phone down and fell face forward onto my bed.
'i just agreed to go on a date with 1, my best friend of like forever, and 2, the man i've had a crush on since i was ten, i hope i can handle this' i thought.
