"Thank you for being able to be the bridesmaid ", I turned around to the familiar voice, and of course who else it would be other than my ex. My long term ex. Whom I wasted 10 years on.
As always, he looks stunning and handsome. Even though I haven't seen him for a year, he looks the same. It seems that he never ages. Even his gorgeous smile hasn't change a bit.
"No problem", I replied back to him as the lady doing my makeup added more blush on my cheeks. As the time runs, we both lined up near the white carpet and waited patiently for the host to call on us. I looked down at the grey roses that I held and turned around to ask the man behind me one last question.
"Are you happy?"
"Yes. I am. Very happy", he replied. Tears begin to flow inside me. I held my breath so that tears wouldn't come down. Suddenly, the host called all the bridesmaid to come forward. So my partner (the bridegroom) and I walked down the white carpet slowly. As I reached the stage, I could feel my tears fighting through me so that it could get out. It didn't want to hold on anymore.The couples began to say their vows to each other. I couldn't hear a thing they said because ... I was too focused on the grey roses I held. These colours were the same as the one he gave me when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I suddenly felt dizzy and feel like I'm about to faint...
Beep...beep...beep...beep
"Honey! Wake up!! The bus will be coming in 10 minutes! Don't be late to school!" Wait. What. Mom? Did I just hear my mom voice? Mom is still alive?
