Chapter XVIII

Three years later...

Chloe's POV

"Babe?" I call out. "Babe?" I call out again and get no answer. "Beca!" I still get nothing and I roll my eyes with a sigh.

Where has she gone now? I stop chopping up the carrots and head upstairs to find my wife who's not answering me AGAIN. I get to the hallway and walk down to the end where Beca is probably hiding out. I open the door to Beca's music room and see her sitting at her desk with her headphones on as she nods her head to whatever she's listening to.

"Beca Mitchell!" I yell.

She jumps then turns to look at me.

"Oh! Hey, babe! I was just about to come back down," she says, removing her headphones.

"Ah huh. So just about to come down is me waiting twenty minutes for you then?" I lean against the doorframe with my arms folded across my chest.

"I'm sorry but I got some really good ideas for my next album and I wanted to quickly record them before I forgot. You know how I get!"

"I do but I also know that Aubrey and Stacie are going to be here in ten minutes and we've still got the fruit and veg platter to do!"

"Just one more minute?" She begs.

"No! Now, get your ass downstairs and help me with the dips. They're not gonna put themselves out."

Beca groans with an eye roll as she stands up and trugs out the room. I slap her ass as she walks by.

"Hey!"

"Don't give me attitude," I warn.

Beca groans again and I roll my eyes. It's like I'm married to a five-year-old sometimes...

Beca certainly has become more stubborn the older she's become but I wouldn't have her any other way. I still can't we're still together and to think that it all started when I went down to Bantam Royal Records to buy Aubrey a birthday present. That USO Tour was the best time of my life, despite the kidnapping, but it made me realise just how much I loved Beca and how much Beca loved me.

I toured with her throughout Europe along with DJ Khaled and Theo. It was an amazing time and Beca always made time for me. We went on heaps of dates, all of them ending very well for both of us. It was so good to see her in her element. She did amazing as always and Khaled was blown away by what she could do. Who wouldn't have been blown away though? Beca's incredible and she had so much to give and Khaled wanted more and more. They've been quite good colleagues ever since. It's gotten to the point now where Beca kind of gets annoyed at him because he keeps 'pestering' her about new ideas and when her next song is coming out so he can listen to it. It's really quite sweet and I know that deep down Beca loves it.

After our tour of Europe, Beca and I went back to L.A where Beca got her recording contract and ever since then, she's been producing music and getting quite the name for herself. It didn't take long for her to start earning some big money and by the end of the year, she was a millionaire. I was so proud of her and she was so thankful that I decided to join her throughout Europe and stay with her in L.A for a little while. We went out to celebrate Beca's success with the girls then Beca took me up to the rooftop at one of the clubs and proposed to me. It was a big shock but I loved her so much I couldn't say no. We got married a month later and we've stayed married ever since. It's been a wild ride but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Beca's been amazing to me ever since we decided to live our lives together as wives. She bought us a beautiful house, which is more like a mansion, in the hills of L.A. It has a beautiful view of the countryside and I love going out on the porch and looking at the blue skies and green hills. It's everything I could ever want and more. Beca has spoiled me rotten and I feel bad for not being able to give her the things she's given me but she keeps reassuring me that I don't need to and that being with her is enough.
