Chloe's POV

It's Saturday night, meaning that it's the night of Emily's party. I'm super excited, not just because I get to sing again with my girls, previously known as the Barden Bellas, but the fact that I'm going to see Beca. Well, I hope that I'm going to see Beca. I hope that Jesse gave her the invite. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it and I've been driving Aubrey insane by talking about it non-stop. I swear she'd kill me if I kept going on about it any longer. I even had a dream about Beca last night. I dreamt that we hooked up at the party. That would be nice. I mean, I'd prefer dinner first but hooking up is good, too. I don't want to be a one-night stand though, or just something fun for her. I want us to be in a relationship and I hope she feels the same way.

Last night I was tempted to add her on Facebook and ask if she wanted to go to the party but Aubrey talked me out of it. She said that it'd be "too stalkerish" and I'd freak her out if I did. I don't think that would have been the case but you never know. Some people like their space and some people like it when others come onto them. I'm one of those people who comes onto others but it's different with Beca. I don't know what happens but whenever I'm around her I just get so nervous and it's like I forget how to speak. It's embarrassing since I've never acted like that before. Except for in high school whenever Courtney Edwards graced me with her presence but since then I've never been affected by anyone - up until now, of course.

For tonight I've decided to wear dark jeans, tan wedges, and a green and silver patterned silk button-up shirt. I've left my hair down since I can't be bothered putting it up and I personally think it looks better when it's down. Aubrey and I arrive at the party at nine at night and it's already bustling with life. I'm immediately taken back to my own college days when I see all of the students dancing and having a good time. I feel so old!

"Chloe!" I look and see Emily approach me with a broad smile.

She's grown up so much since the last time I saw her. She's still got long, brown hair and big brown eyes.

"Em!" I engulf her in a hug.

"It's so good to see you again! It's been too long!"

"Way too long!" I laugh then let her go so she can hug Aubrey who greets her the same way I did.

"Where's CR?" Emily asks.

"Oh, she's on her way. Car trouble," I explain.

"Oh, that's okay. The rest of the girls are over by the stage. Follow me. It's so good that you decided to come!"

"Are you kidding? We wouldn't miss the chance to sing with each other again for the world!" I smile as Aubrey and I follow her.

"This is going to be so great. It's going to be a really fun night." Emily's smile couldn't get any bigger if she tried and I can tell just how excited she is for tonight.

No matter how old she gets, she's always going to be that young woman that sang for me in order to join the Bellas all those years ago... It's only been, like, three years but still - that's a long time.

Once I meet up with the other Bellas and Cynthia-Rose shows up, we all pick a selection of songs that we used to sing back in college to perform. We only needed a twenty-minute rehearsal since we still know our parts well and I'd be lying if I didn't say that I practice them on a daily basis just for the nostalgia.

Before I know it, it's time to perform so my fellow Bellas and I all file onto the stage and get singing and it feels so good. Everyone cheers us on and I can't help the beaming grin on my face. I truly do feel like I'm back in college and it's great. I look around at my girls who are all smiling just as much as me. I can tell that they miss being a college student and more so, a Barden Bella, but unfortunately, it doesn't last forever and we're forced to move on whether we like it or not. It was hard for me to move on, I even thought about failing Russian literature to just remain a Bella but Aubrey convinced me otherwise. She wasn't going to graduate without me, she said, so I had no choice - not unless I wanted an angry Aubrey Posen on my back and I wouldn't wish that even on my worst enemy.
