One word. School.
Today was the day where I really show people the real me. No more "nice guy" act.
—
I walked inside, forgetting what it looked like. I spotted Ellie and quickly ran over to her.
"Hey!!" she said excitedly.
"Hola!" I said.
"Are you ready?" Ellie asked me.
"You bet," I nodded.—
I sat in my seat, listening to my teacher go on and on.
Suddenly, the door swings open. The whole class and the teachers attention is now all on the person at the door.
I glimpse and look back down at my desk, but I suddenly take a double look.
I see a tall boy. I immediately associate him with darkness.
He has hazel eyes, dark brown half wavy hair that covered his forehead. He had the most structured jawline and highest cheekbones I'd ever seen, his lips were bright and plump. He was wearing a Nirvana tee, black ripped jeans, a leather jacket and black doc martin boots.
I think he's the most attractive person I have ever seen. The whole class was quiet, still staring.
The teacher quickly adjusts her glasses and checks her journal.
"Ah, Eli Westbrooke, you're late." she says, staring into his eyes.
So obviously Westbrooke was his surname?
He looked up at her, "Tell me something I don't know,"
She raised an eyebrow at him. "Sit."
He probably got away with it because he's new, plus, schools just back.
He looked at her for a few seconds before actually closing the door and sitting down.
He started to walk down the classroom.
Where does he decide to sit? Next to me.
Why does it have to be two people per desk, man?
I cleared my throat and didn't look up until class resumed. Once it did, I couldn't help but look at him from the corner of my eyes. Damn he's so beautiful.
He sighed and I couldn't help but look. I'm not one to stop listening during class but I really couldn't take my eyes off him.
"I know I'm cute pup, no need to stare," says a deep, American accent.
I jumped and looked at him, he still hasn't taken his eyes off of the board."Excuse me?" I reply, looking at him completely now. He smirked and giggled a deep giggle. My heart dropped.
"No talking in my class, especially not from you Zoë, I expect better from a girl like you with such high grades,"
I almost died. I had never, ever been told to stop talking in class. I just sat back in my chair and nodded.
Everybody looked at me, a little surprised.
The class resumed for what seemed like the millionth time today.
Under the table, I felt "Eli Westbrooke" brush his leg against mine.
I flinched.
"Chill" he whispered to me.
My stomach went wild. His voice gave me goosebumps.
He smirked again, looking at me, chuckling and shaking his head.
After what seemed like forever, class was finally over. If i'm being honest, I think that was the longest forty minutes of my life.
Everybody was packing up to go to their next class. I went to leave my desk, when suddenly I'm stopped.
I look up and it's "EliWestbrooke", our eyes finally met and my heart started beating so quickly. If I thought he was beautiful before, I was completely awestruck. I speak up, "do you mind?"
"What's your name?" he asked, staring into my fricken soul.
"Zoë. Zoë Anderson. You?"
"Elijah Westbrooke, surprised you don't know me,"I rolled my eyes and tried to squeeze past him.
He stood in front of me, blocking me again.
"Don't roll your eyes at me," he said, looking at me.
"Don't tell me what to do," I replied. He looked surprised and if I'm honest, i'm surprised that even came out of my mouth.
He nodded his head slowly, he swallowed while examining every detail on my face. He moved slightly, letting me go.I walked out the door, letting go of a breath that I didn't even know I was holding. Of course, he's obsessed with himself. He has the personality of a dick. But I strangely like it.

Lunch:
The next class passed pretty quickly, probably because I wasn't being distracted by any pretty boys.It was now lunch and I was heading over to sit next to Ellie.
I sat next to her and told her everything that just happened.
"Wow. If this happened last year you wouldn't have even said anything!" she laughed. I laughed too, it was true after all.
"Be careful though, he sounds dangerous,"
I nodded, not really paying attention.Amy Harrison, a friend of Ellie and me, sat next to us.
"Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know there's a party in mine Saturday, i'd love it if you could come," she smiled.
Ellie looked at me, "Sure!" I said, without even thinking.
"Great! Can't wait to see you guys there!" she gave us one last smile before getting up and walking away.
Ellie turned to me and high fived me.
"Damn. Proud of you," we both laughed.(authors note)
