Your POV

A few weeks later, Alex was still fanboy-ing. he'd been texting me nonstop. He told me that if josh texts me any major things, I have to update him.

~10:00pm~
I was sat on my bed, watching TV and reading some lame article on my phone. Suddenly, my phone vibrated vigorously. An Instagram notification popped down from the top of the screen, reading 'Joshuadun is calling...' I didn't understand why it said he was calling when it actually was a video chat.

I quickly press the notif, letting it take me to the dm's Josh and I had. Joshuadun is calling...
I roll my eyes, accepting the video chat.

A few seconds later, Josh's face pops up on my screen. He waves, his beautiful smile warming my heart.
"Hey y/n!" Josh says happily. "Hello," I say twice as excited. "So...I was just having a weird thought," he starts awkwardly. I was intrigued so I got more comfortable by hopping under the blankets.

"Go on" I grin. "Okay, so it might sound a bit weird but...I think we should meet up" my eyes shoot wide open. 'He wants to meet up?!' "Y/n?" Josh says, his voice deep.
"U-uh sure!" I say, still a bit shocked by the question. "You don't want to meet up. That's fine I just-""no no I do, please...I do uhm it's just that...I kind of don't want to be surrounded by a-a bunch of people..." I stutter massively. "What do you mean? Oh...you mean fans?" He asks, chuckling shortly after. "Yeah" I simply say. "You don't need to worry about them. Honestly, the amount of times I see a fan is very small. And when we DO meet them, they're usually very sweet. Trust me you have nothing to worry about." He says with a huge smile on his face.

"So what do ya' say?" His eyes are full of hope. "Yeah, why not. To be honest, I'm a little nervous" I giggle. Josh's face softens, "oh, don't be nervous," he says quietly. "I'm nervous!" He laughs.

I see a painting behind him. It's an oil painting of the beautiful scenery of a lake.
"Y/n...?" He says while turning around to look at the painting himself. "Oh yeah. That's just a painting I picked up in Barcelona. It's pretty, right?" He says, looking back to me. "Yeah, it's beautiful. I wonder how long it took for them to finish it" my mind wonders.

The colours of oil paint were dark and dim. The brush strokes worked along with the scene and the accent of it made me feel a certain way. It made me feel upset, sad, depressed.

"You okay, love?" Josh asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. I take a deep breath, "uh yeah. Never been better" I lie with a fake smile. "Okay...anyway I think we should meet up at the old cafe Downtown? It's got amazing coffee and the cookies are to die for" he chuckles.
"Yeah, yeah that sounds great" I say, sort of fazed out. "Okay tell me what's going on. You've been acting kind of weird." He says, sighing after.

"Okay, I'm sorry it's just...that painting. It's got a lot of meaning to it. It's kinda sad..." I reply. His eyes dart to something behind the camera. "Is everything okay?" I ask. Now I'm the one who's concerned. "Uh y-yeah. Just hang on a sec" he says, standing up and walking out of frame.

I hear a door open and faint chatter. I can only just make out what he's saying, "Oh hey! You scared me a little. It's good to see you" he says. I hear another mans voice, "good to see you too. Sorry for popping over unexpectedly. I just wanted to tell you that you're drums are fixed and they look brand new." The man says.

Josh talks to whoever his behind the camera for a few more minutes before I hear the door shut and my name being called out.

"Y/n, I hope you're still there" he jogs over and sits down in front of the camera once again. I laugh, "yep. Still here" he grins and chuckles. "I'm glad. So coffee is still on?" He asks. "Of course. I've never been to this little cafe. I'm excited" I say excitedly. "I can't wait. I'm so excited to eat those cookies. To be honest, I'm more excited to eat the cookies than seeing you" he says sarcastically. "Oh fuck off! Right that's it, I'm leaving, byeee!" I joke, laughing at the change In his expression. "What?! No, no, no! Don't leave I was kidding of course I want to see you!" He says, running a hand through his coloured hair.

"Okay. I won't leave. Yet" I say.
