50th Episode

Flashback :

Half an hour before Chief Zhao entered the office.

Yushu Kai entered the office without anyone noticing him. He was in a clouded mind for hours now. His friend is not responding to any of his calls. He kinda guessed what must have happened back then.
But he needed to make his plan quick. Anymore waiting time means, he is going to lose his love to Zhao Yunlan.

Yushu Kai entered the inner office area. He slowly went to his desk and collected the nearest case file.
If he put the paper inside the case file Zhao Yunlan may see it. But there is a risk of being caught to someone else.
He took out the yellow paper from his back pocket and placed it on the table.
He carefully examined it for any type of mistakes.
He was lost in his own world when he heard a loud bang from upstairs.

Yushu Kai quickly got up from the seat and followed the sound. Looks like it is coming from the library.

He searched the library for the source of the knowledge. A bundle of books has fallen on to the ground. He was surprised. A bunch of books can make such a huge sound!

He bent down to collect the books. Unknown to him, there was someone watching him carefully behind the book racks.

Yushu Kai has completely forgotten the yellow paper. He sensed dark energy in the library and he is using all his senses to find the source of it.

And that's when Chief Zhao entered the office area looking for the case file.

Flashback :End

Chief Zhao is sitting at his desk, gazing outside his room.
He stood up lazily from his desk and walked towards the library. Soku Yen is already busy with a pile of books behind his desk.

Zhao Yunlan casually sat down on one of the chairs. He picked a paper out of his pocket and placed it in front Soku Yen.

Soku Yen looked at him puzzled.

"Chief, I don't remember any of books related to these words"
Soku Yen said examining the small paper.

"I know there's none but can you tell me why you replaced the paper Yushu Kai left at his desk?" Chief asked a sly smile playing on his lips.

"Chief... "

"Don't look so surprised. From the moment Yushu Kai sneaked into the office that early, I knew something was up on his sleeve."
Chief patted Officer Yen's hand reassuringly.

"Chief, here is the paper I wanted to replace with Yushu Kai's note. But at the last minute I changed my mind. "

Officer Yen placed a paper on the desk. Zhao Yunlan got a close look at the paper. He didn't need to look at it twice to say that this is the real message from Guardian token.

The message read,

" Guardian Zhao Yunlan is not to be told about his saviour in the previous case regarding no matter what the situation is .
Regent of Dixing will pay a visit to explain the situation to the Guardian. Until then every officer in SID should keep this a secret and Dixing won't take the responsibility if the order is broken. "

Zhao Yunlan looks puzzled. Who is this powerful person who can send a message through the guardian token other than to him.
Guardian token only answers to him.

"Chief, I am so sorry I kept this hidden from you. I will take my leave now . "

" Leave... "

"I can't let you know the true reason behind my act. It is better if I leave the SID. I am not a trustworthy person anymore."

"No, you don't have to. Even my own friends kept this a secret. Can you answer to one question?"
Chief Zhao knew there is only one way to clear the situation.

"Who sent this?"

"Lord Ye Zun"

Soku Yen answered without a hesitation.

For the first time in his life, Chief Zhao lost his words. He looked directly into the eyes of the man standing in front of him. Finally, he found his voice.

"You have never used your powers here. So, I didn't bother to take your identity as a Dixing ian, as a trouble. You don't have to hide things from me. But for now, I will let you decide yourself. "

With that said, Zhao Yunlan stood from his chair.

"Chief Zhao..."
