44th Episode

"Chief Zhao, Yushu Kai is here. "

"Hello, welcome to SID. Isn't this place look great! "

Even though he welcomed the new coworker Yunlan had a feeling that this guy was hiding something from them.

Cheif Zhao shrugged the thought and explained the new comer about his work.

"Cheif Zhao, should I always be here for the night shift? "

"No, you should be here for the night shift only if we are facing a difficult case. "

"I understand. If that's all, I may get to my work. "

"Ok, here is your desk. Make yourself at  home. We treat this place like a home not a work place. "

"Yes cheif " Yushu kai smiled mischievously.

Cheif Zhao still has the feeling that there is something wrong with this new guy.
He does not seem to be nervous about his first day at work. He looks rather confident. And this makes Cheif uncomfortable. He should ask Da qing to keep an eye on the guy.

Cheif Zhao decided to take a nap in his office sofa. The day is still young and they don't have a case to solve for God's sake.

Cong Bo was delighted to hear that cheif Zhao is back. He decided to pay a visit to the SID headquarters.

At the front door of SID Cong Bo thought just how many things have changed this past year. He made his way through the front door and greeted by an unfamiliar guy.

"Hello, how may I help you? "

"I am here to meet cheif Zhao, is he inside?"

"Cheif is taking a rest right now. You may wait here until he wake up if the matter is important. "

Cong Bo was startled by this guy's rudeness. Just when he was about to reply the guy Cheif Zhao called him.

"Officer Yushu, that's not a way to reply your co-workers. And who said you that I was taking a rest! "

"I am so sorry Cheif. I didn't know that this is one of our coworkers. "

Cheif Zhao just shrugged his shoulders and motioned Cong Bo to follow him.

As they entered his office,

"Cheif Zhao, who is that guy? I feel like there is some dangerous aura around him. "

"He is our new HR manager. Don't worry. It's his first day at work. "

"But he acts like he owns this place. However, I am glad to see you again Cheif. As the great whistle blower of dragon city, Can l spread the news? "

"These idiots, they already told you! No, you can't. This news is not to spread."

"Understood Cheif, I will take my leave then. "

"Yeah, take care! "

Cheif Zhao followed Cong Bo to the front door. He decided go to the nearby restaurant and have some hot pot. As he was waiting for his order he saw a familiar figure entering the restaurant.

"Hey Kai, come here. Sit with me. Since it's your first day at work this will be my treat."

"Aaah Cheif Zhao, thank you" Yushu Kai said taking the opposite seat from Zhao.

This man didn't even look surprised when he saw me here. It was like he was looking for me.

Cheif Zhao ordered another two dishes for them. As the food arrived they silently ate. Cheif Zhao doesn't feel comfortable of having a chat with this guy. As they finished their meal,

"Cheif Zhao, again thank you for the meal! "

"Oh, the pleasure is all mine. " Cheif Zhao said with a charming smile.

The guy blushed. Oh my god, did he really blush! This is rather awkward.

If it was Professor Shen, Cheif Zhao would gladly continue the teasing.
But he is not interested in this guy.

Cheif Zhao made his way to the office without looking back.
At the entrance he saw Da qing and motioned him to follow him.

As they entered the office Cheif closed the the door and turned towards Da qing.

"Is there anything you want  to tell me Cheif? "

"Yes, I don't trust the new guy. Even that stupid Cong Bo warned me about him. So, keep an eye on the guy. He seemed to follow me everywhere. First the bar, then at the restaurant. "

"Oh, another one of your many admirers! Why does everyone fall for you Cheif! " Da qing purred.

The only one I wanted to fall for me left me without even acknowledging it. Cheif thought to himself.

"Oh, and cheif we have a new case transferred to us. A girl was kidnapped in the broad daylight at Dragon city hospital. The question is no one seemes to notice that the patient is missing for nearly 4 hours."

"Ok, Ask Old Chu and little Guo to do the inspection. Contact the doctor and the nurse assumed to that room. "

"Will do Cheif! "

"And you will come with me to take a look at the CCTV footages. "

Cheif Zhao and Da qing left the office heading towards the hospital. Meanwhile the operator is reviewing the footages cheif Zhao takes a look at the case file.
And he seems to notice something awkward.
