switching one word in a sentencedoes not give you ownership
does not grant you ownershipof my intellectual exclusive property
of my intellectual private propertywho gave you the right
who gave you the permissionto snatch away my creation
to steal away my inventionand cover my name with yours
and cloak my title with yoursto take credit for stealing
to take acclaim for thieveryattract readers with fake words
lure readers with faux wordsshoving the writer backstage
pushing the creator backstageto watch as their creations are applauded
to watch as their words are praisedby an audience who sees centre stage
by a group who observes centre stagebut never checks behind the curtains
but seldom checks beyond the curtainsbecause why should they believe me?
for why should we believe you?when I claim you violated my trust?
when you claim I violated your trust?my word against yours
your word against minewhen both are identical
when both are identicalso make the right choice
so take the right pathuse your head for more than a hatrack
use your brain for more than a secondmy words are my words
