Part 4

"Stay safe, okay?" Aliester said while brushing my hair.

I just bit my lower lip. Ayokong malayo kay Aliester pero wala akong magagawa. Natatakot ako para sa kanya.

"Babe, I want you to be strong," he cupped my face.

"Can't we just stay here? Or go somewhere else?"

He chuckled. "I thought you wanted me to be a hero?"

"Hindi ito ang tamang oras para mag-joke," sinuntok ko siya sa dibdib.

"Stop worrying, Sky," he hugged me. "We're going to win this."

Someone knocked on the door and opened it.

"Aliester, Greyson is waiting for us," Ashia said.

"Susunod na ako," he said.

She gave me a nod before closing the door again.

"You need to stay with Zac all the time. He is the only one you can trust, okay?" I nodded. "I'll be back, I promise." A tear escaped from my eyes. He wiped them as he kissed me.

Pagbaba namin ay nakahanda na silang lahat.

"Zac, you take care of her," bilin ni Aliester.

"Don't worry about her. She's safe with me."

"This is bad!" Biglang lumapit si Hagas sa amin. "Basil's men are attacking another village! We have to hurry!"

"Let's go!" sabi ni Aliester. Tinapunan niya muna ako ng tingin bago siya umalis kasama ang mga tauhan ni Greyson.

"Ready na ba ang mga gamit mo?" tanong sa akin ni Zac.

"Oo. Inilagay na ni Charlie sa likod ng kotse mo."

"Good. Let's get going."

Sumakay ako sa back seat katabi si Lora. Si Zac naman ang nasa driver's seat at sa passenger's seat si Charlie.

Greyson provided us another place where we can hide. It's a small house with a basement. May mga tauhan rin siyang nagbabantay dito.

Pagpasok namin ay mukha lang itong isang normal na bahay. May sala, kusina at mga kwarto.

"Miss Skylar, inilagay ko na sa kwarto mo ang mga gamit mo," sabi ni Charlie.

"Thank you, Charlie," I said. Dumiretso naman siya sa kusina para tulungan si Lora maghanda ng dinner.

"How long are we going to stay here?" I asked Zac who is sitting on the couch.

"I don't know yet. Until the war is over, maybe."

"What do you think they're doing right now?"

"Probably preparing for the attack. Why don't you use your head to contact him?"

"He might be busy."

"Well, yeah."

Zac seemed annoyed at me because I keep on questioning him. I can't blame him. Siguro ay kinakabahan din siya sa mga posibleng mangyari.

"Don't worry, Sky. Aliester is strong," he stood up ang put his both hands on my shoulders. "Now, I want you to sit down and relax." He pushed me down so I could sit.

"They will not tract us here, right?"

"Yes," he gave me a reassuring smile.

We just sat there in silence. I can't stop worrying about Aliester. Alam kong malakas siya pero natatakot pa rin ako para sa kaligtasan niya. He was cursed before. What if Adonia cursed him again? I can't imagine my life without him.
