Chapter 4

Maine
Present day...

Zander's POV ~

This boy we had never ever seen before or even met before was trying to get us to follow him to some place we had no idea even existed. This is insane surely Emma won't agree to this. I still didn't know his name and I don't think Emma did either. I was about to say something but Emma got to it first. She asked what his name was and where his parents are. I had a million thoughts running through my head. He replied to her saying "I am Henry and your my mom". I am not exaggerating here but you know when in a cartoon the characters jaw drops I am pretty sure that just happened. There is no way this kid could be the one she gave away ages ago. Emma was having a rush of emotions you could tell by her face that she was surprised and angry and sad. I said "Alright we better get you back where you came from kid". He had a smug grin on his face and nodded "So your coming with me then?". I answered his question saying yes but only because we needed to drop him off at his parents who are probably worried sick. I could tell Emma was still a bit shell shocked she hadn't said anything since what the kid said.

Henry's POV ~

I was so happy. They are actually going to come with me. I hoped they will stay they need to discover their identity. I am not going to mention it yet they will think I'm lying and probably not come. I finally met my real mom. I had so many questions. I walked down and got into the back of my moms yellow car. They will actually coming to Storybrooke with me. I never thought they would agree so easily. After about a 4 maybe 5 hour drive back. It was what I thought though they didn't believe me yet. I wasn't about to give up. They will believe eventually. They asked me where I lived and I said the big house at the end of the block. She drove to the house and was yet again shocked. Zander and her took me to the front door and knocked to see my adoptive mother answer. She was the evil queen in my story book. She was the one my real mom needed to save us from. My adoptive mom Regina started this huge curse. The reason Zander needed to come because he may not remember or know it yet but Regina was his real mom. Which may become a problem later.

Emma's POV ~

I still couldn't believe this kid was my son. His mom who he is living with is the mayor to I mean come on surely not. I mean he is also convinced we are all fairytale characters. It was too late to go back to Maine now so looks like we are staying here for the night. Then in the morning we go back. I've been fine this far with my life there is no need to change it now. Henry went into his house and this dark haired women was still standing there. "I'm Emma Swan and this is Zander Valentine". She looked us up and down and pulled a face. She then looked inside her house and back at us. "I'm the mayor here Regina Mills. So you don't plan on staying here do you?" She said in a rude manner. I knew Zander was going to try and stop me but this women now made me want to stay here just to spite her. "Yes as a matter of fact we do" I said. Regina narrowed her eyes at me. I could tell Zander was angry at me as he stormed off. He didn't have a huge fuse but he will forgive me. Regina said to me "Stay away from my son" with a smirk on her face. She turned around and slammed the door but not to loud that Henry would hear. I went towards my car and then seen a sign that said Granny's diner and Inn. I went in and an angry Zander followed me. "Is there any rooms we can stay" I asked the lady behind the desk who turned around shocked. "You want to stay here? What view would you like? How many rooms?" She asked. I was wondering where to start she had asked so much so quickly. "Just one room please" I replied. I looked at Zander who was still mad. She led us to our room and gave us the key. I then thanked her and went in.

Zander's POV ~

We weren't supposed to stay. I didn't want to stay. There is something not right in this town and I didn't want to stay to find out what. Emma was stubborn she always wanted to win. She only did this to spite the women because when we arrived she wanted nothing more than to leave. I sat down on one of the beds. "Why did you do that Emma?" I questioned wondering if she would be honest with me. She replied with only a partly honest answer she wasn't the only one who could tell when someone was lying. She had replied with "I want to get to know the kid more". I just sighed normally she was honest with me. I switched off the light after she was asleep and went to bed. I looked at a photo before I drifted off to sleep. Not even Emma had seen this. It was a private thing to me.

The Next Day....

Still Zander's POV ~

I got out of bed and went downstairs before Emma was awake I was always the early riser. I sat in a booth at the diner part of were we are. A girl in red came to take my order. "Hey can I have a coffee and a the toasted sandwich please" I requested. She nodded and gave my order to the old lady we seen yesterday. I ate my food and then I took my coffee out with me to go explore the town. If I'm going to be forced to stay here might as well know where I am staying. So I left and walked down the street and so far I had seen the diner and police station and a school. I bumped into Henry and Regina while out exploring. I said politely "Hi I don't believe we properly met yesterday I'm Zander" . She smiled even though her smile looked evil I don't think it actually was because her response seem alright. She replied "Regina and here take my phone number I mean all the residents have it incase of an emergency". I nodded and waved before I took off to keep exploring. I met a lot of people while I was out actually. The stay here may no be that bad after all.
