Chapter two: Gifts and Rejections

(Pinkie Pie's POV)

   It was terrible. I thought the world ended. Rarity's plan failed. Dashie didn't love me back. Instead, she liked Fluttershy! Ugh! Okay, so, this is how the whole rejection went down:

   "Um, Dashie, you see, I have something to tell you," I stated as I looked away. I was really blushing hard. My entire face was red and I think that Rainbow noticed.

   Dashie looked at me, her face filled with concern. "What is it, Pinks?" She asked. My heart was racing. Like, really racing. It was time to put Rarity's plan into action.

   I pulled out a perfectly wrapped box from behind the counter. Rarity told me to give it to Dash when I was confessing, which was right now. She told me that it was a picture, but of what?

   "Open it," I said whilst blushing tremendously hard. Rainbow Dash's concern then turned into confusion. "Okay?" She said, uncertain of why I was giving her a gift if it wasn't her birthday or anything.

   She took the box and pulled of the rainbow ribbon. My hesitation only grew. As she opened the box, I could have sworn that she was blushing. But I guess I was just seeing things. Then, she saw it, the gift.

   It was a perfectly framed picture of Dashie and  me when we were celebrating her birthday. I gazed at it ,and so did she. "So, do you like it?" I asked, waiting for a positive responce. "Pinkie, I love it," Rainbow said while smiling, "but, what is it for?"

   I held my breath in. "Dash, we've known each other for a long time and we've been besties ever since. I don't want to ruin our friendship but, I have to tell you this. Rainbow, I l-love you..." I stated, waiting for an answer.

   Rainbow Dash couldn't believe her ears. She just stared into my Crystal Blue eyes. Her eyes glimmered like the ocean. They were just so beautiful.

   "Pinkie, I-I'm so sorry, but I don't love you," I snapped out of my daydream as my heart shattered, "I love Fluttershy."

   Now I couldn't believe my ears. Rainbow didn't like me back. I knew she wouldn't. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I felt depressed.

   "I'm so sorry!" She repeated one last time before she flew out the door. She left the picture and the cupcake behind. "Bye," I muttered sadly.

   I walked up to my room and locked the door. I threw myself on my bed and I started to sob into my pillow. I felt like to kill myself, and that's what I was gonna do.
